This was about a year ago.A soldier who just got back from Irag was looking for a Glock 30 in OD to trade for USPf45.I got my Glock for 350 with 2-10 round mags and was shot app .400 rounds.I bought a 13 round mag and added an A& G grip adapter. and put about 100 rounds through it.I met with the soldier,he liked the Glock.USP looked about two mags through it new with 1-12 & 1-10 round mag in gray plastic box and an AA date on it.We shook hands,I was waiting for how much he wanted me to kick in and before I knew it ,he was riding down the road with me still having wallet in hand.I had 400 dollars maximum in the Glock.Only problem was the start of the HK addiction with the purchase of 3 more after that.Val

Picked up my USPf 9mm in SS just this past December for $480.00 with original grey case. I was about to sh*% myself when I saw the price and very quickly but quietly got a salesman. I did not have the cash but had my USP .40 in the car that I traded plus my $80.00. I wish i would have just paid the money and kept the .40 but it was x-mas time and it was just not possible.

$599 for my USP 45C from Cabelas, it was bought at an estate sale and had never been fired - still had the factory lube. Carry it every day, love that gun, especially since Springfield got done with the trigger!

I bought a USP9 v1 three weeks ago. AH code & LNIB, four 15rnd mags, 200 rnds FMJ, M-Tac. $635 including the shipping, a $30 cash advance charge on my cc and the FFL fee. Bargain.

Of course I then blew another $500 on assorted accessories for it and then decided to buy and kit out a P30 which added up around $1250.

And so my initial bargain ended up being a little slippery slope.
No more guns for me for a while....

Deals are out there. I bought mine in the classifieds here a few years ago for $520 shipped to my FFL. The gun had less than 500 rounds through it and came with 5 magazines (three 12 and two 10 rounders) and nightsights.

Got my USP9c for about $860 new last month. Wanted to get the .40 but they didn't have any in and couldn't say when they would. Come back a week later and what's in the case? A 40c AND a 45c. Happily, the 9mm is perfect as a range gun, so I'm not too pissed. But still pissed enough.

Same for me - although I live in california, so everything seems to be a bit more expensive here as a matter of course.

$600, new in the box for a .40 caliber about 13 years ago? I think they had only been on the market about 3 or so years at this point.

I remember the gun store also had P7's and an HK SP-89.. I think the asking price for the SP-89 was $2000 dollars at the time.

Wish I would have gotten the SP-89 lol.

On and then I bought an HK USP Compact 9mm years later from a kid for $350.00 dollars and a set of subwoofers I paid $100 dollars for that I later traded for a GLOCK 17. Yeah I know, I was stupid. This was pre-internet for and only my 3rd gun so I wasn't too up on what it was worth.

USP45f, NIB with two 12 round mags, $725 in mid 2006.

This is one of those threads where you will get a lot of people chiming in with the sweet & rare deals that they got, but I've found that NIB USP45s normally change hands around the $750 mark. At least here in Florida...

Oh no doubt that if you go to a gunshop, or at a vendors table at a gun show it will cost you crazy bucks. The best deals can be had from "walkers at a gun show". I wasn't looking for a HK pistol, or even consider buying one, but when a pistol comes along that is near new condition and you can strike a deal with the owner that you can be happy with, then why not?

I would never pay more then 500 bucks for a pistol, even if it has the magical logo of HK on it. To me they don't command the crazy prices that is asked for them.

The whole trick, is don't be too hungry for it or "gotta have one", wait until you can find one you can get a good price on. Deals are out there, just have to be patient.

that is how I go about buying all my firearms. I decide on which one I want, then I look for the best deal I can find, if it takes a few months, then so be it.

Around here it is common to see them in the 800 dollar range, sometimes over 900.

There are vendors online though who are always offering great prices, usually just under $700 for regular USPs. I'd go up to $750 on a local deal though to avoid paying shipping and a transfer fee.

I just converted the price I paid from NOK(Norwegian crowns) -> USD

I paid 1380 USD for my USP 9SD (with today's exchange rate).
This was in June '08, when the dollar was at its weakest.
So I paid about 1930 USD... THATS INSANE!!

And thats not including the match trigger, match barrel weight, wolff spring and B&T suppressor.

Norwegian prices are scary high.

The USP 40 only had one mag with it when I took it in on tarde. I don't know the number of rounds but the barrel still has the paint on the side where the serial number is. If it had been shot a lot, more wear would be present. It's a very nice pistol and .....priced very fair.

I'm a proud owner of a USPf9 and have been looking around local shops for a USPf45. They only have USPc45's for around $1000 USP 45 Tacticals and Elites for around $1450. They all seem to price gouge like crazy. But if I could even find a USPf45, I might just drop the coin to buy it. Jan 09: NIB USPf V1 .40 with 3 10rd mags, paid $840 out the door.
Feb 09: NIB P2000SK 9mm LEM with 2 10rd mags, paid $1111 out the door.

I know that I overpaid for the P2000SK, but it was right there at the shop, so I had to snag it up before it's gone. At the same time, there were about 15 other HKs, 2 weeks later when I went with my cousin to pick one out for him, they were all sold out! So that's my excuse to pay more for my P2000SK :D My cousin settled for a Sig P226.

I paid $850+tax for my USP SD 9mm in 2007, then I got a blade-tech holder and a MFI faux suppressor for it, adding another couple of hundred. I always wanted a USP tactical, but this one shoots the same 9mm ammo like my other guns. Worked out. I like it, and it shoots great.
