Does this mean USP tactical is intended to be used for competition, not Combat/Defense?

Not at all, the intent is combat.
The USP Tactical is a what is says, a tactical weapon. It has a threaded barrel for a suppressor, an o-ring for better lockup & upgraded trigger for a cleaner sear break. IMHO it's a very aggressive weapon design.

Seems to me everything with the exception of the trigger and over travel screw. Might be wrong, but I think that's right. I have the match trigger in my .45 Tactical, USPf 9mmm and USPf 40. The match trigger is nice set up.
