guys either i am an idiot or my 45C is broke (i hope it's the first) but when the weapon is cocked, placing it on SAFE does not decock it and i don't know what to "push down on" ???

Push down on the safety lever, the same way that you push up to engage it

Push harder down past the Safe postion, it will return to the safe postion after decocking. It will be stiff, but you won't break it.

What he said - push it down THRU the SAFE. You won't break it - just keep pushing and it will work!

Unless you ended up with a un-wanted V9 like one of my HK45's if it's even possible :26:
Check the tag on the box before you crank on it too hard. See if it may say V1 on it.

The decocking lever is the safety lever.

I think you got screwed over when you bought the pistol. Seriously, you should give me your HK45C and let me worry about the decocking lever, no use you having to fret over the issue. ;)
Page 20 figure 6 shows the operation of the decocker, if so equipped. Did you read it?
