I spoke to HK CS today about a particular issue and gleaned the following in casual off-the-topic conversation:

1. HK is working diligently on introducing a P30 in .40

2. This isn't news but an affirmation of what others have reported: the HK45 Tactical series is on the backburner and down on the priorities list in deference to the MR rifle series and the expansion of the P30 family.

3. HK is using the newly-introduced Meprolight night sights as factory-issue for the HK45 and p30 series. They are about 1 month away from accepting delivery from Meprolight.

I don't know anything else beyond the above.

Does that mean the new P30s will be made in the US, or that they will be made in Germany, then have the tritium night sights installed in the US?

This is entirely speculation, but it seems to me that HK is targeting the U.S. LE market with the .40 S&W P30. As such, I wouldn't be surprised to see U.S. production of the P30 .40. I suspect that any gun produced in the U.S. facility will come equipped with the Meps.

Thanks for the info. I also would like to see the P30 in a 40. And Bigash I agree I would get a few HK45 15 round mags. I would even take a 12 round mag

how much smaller than a P2000sk in 9mm do you need.. Besides I'm not a big fan of .380 and other calibers of the sort......
