P30 DAO ??

My distributor is listing some P30's in 9mm and say they are DAO. I did not know HK made any DAO triggers. Is this true? I asked the salesman if they were actually LEMs, and he said they are DAO. I am new to HKs, so I am just looking for confirmation on this. Thanks.

Variants

The P30 features multiple trigger variations. And all versions have interchangeable grip panels, ambidextrous slide and magazine release, and a standardized picatinny rail formed on the dust cover.

* P30 - Safety trigger with concealed cocking piece in the hammer with spur, with de-cocking latch. Constant CDA trigger pull of approx. 20N and defined let-off point.
* P30V1 - Safety trigger with concealed cocking piece in the hammer without spur, without de-cocking latch. Constant CDA trigger pull of approx. 20N and defined let-off point.
* P30V2 - Like P30V1, however CDA trigger pull approx. 32.5N.
* P30V3 - Conventional SA/DA trigger without cocking piece in the hammer with spur and centrally arranged de-cocking latch. This is the most common model, and effectively the standard.
* P30V4 - Like P30 V1, however CDA trigger pull approx. 27.5N.
* P30V5 - not available
* P30V6 - Conventional DAO trigger without cocking piece in the hammer without spur. Constant DAO trigger pull of approx. 39N
* P30L - Longer barrel and slide, designed for the Norwegian police. Available in variants 1-6.

I was also looking at the P30L's that arrived at my dealer. They have the V1 and the V3 variants. The sales guy said that the V1 they have is DAO. No mention of LEM but I was very surprised at the trigger pull after the slide had been racked. It was significantly lighter than the initial double action pull. I thought this was the LEM characteristic? Am I confused? Is this V3 that I tried an LEM trigger P30L? Thanks guys.

Hey Talon,

The V3 variant is never going to be a LEM. It is the DA/SA configuration

LEM equals:

P30V1
P30V2
P30V4


Acutally called HKUSA to check on the P30L LEM and sales rep said none were out yet..but who knows??

PM me if you confirm your dealer has a P30L with a V1 LEM I would be VERY interested.

Viktor, some of our dealers don't get their H&K pistols from the US distributor. My USP came from Germany and doesn't have the lock out device in the magwell. We don't have the P30s because they are in the Prohibited Class due to their barrel length so that's why we're able to get the P30Ls. I'll check with the dealer and see what their invoice said on the shipment regarding the 2 variants at the shop.
