Hi all,
looking to get a smaller CCW than my 45C, and am thinking about either the 2000SK in .357 or the Talo Night Defender edition of the Colt .45ACP Defender. the SK is cheaper, and honestly, I usually prefer HK's in any case, but I know very little about US versus European weapons, so was wondering if anyone out there had a view as to which would be the better.

I used to have a P2000sk. It was a great little gun if you want somnething small. I went to a P30 for the added capacity and comfort in shooting. I would definately go with a P2000sk over a compact 1911 variant. I don't like to worry about my combat weapons being finicky with ammo. I have never had a problem with any of the European handguns I've owned (HK, Sig, Glock).

i just recently purchased the p2000sk with a 357 sig barrel and a .40 barrel. i have yet to put any 357 rounds down it but i have to say i really enjoy the approx 300 .40 s&w rounds i have put through it in just over the last 8 days. a buddy of mine has the p2000sk with the lem trigger in 9mm and i have to say i thoroughly enjoyed firing his pistol as well. i'm a fairly large guy 6'1" 240 pounds and i would much rather have the p2000sk over my old kimber eclipse ultra compact 2 any day.

Just bought my SK. I absolutely love it. Very small and easily concealed. Got mine with the LEM trigger and love that as well. I would definitely recommend it to you.

I just got a P2000SK in 40S&W and I just picked up a couple of the 12 round magazines with the X-grips. The SK is fine to shoot (and perfect to conceal) with the 9 round magazines, but it feels like a totally new gun with the longer grip. Effectively, two guns in one for only a small additional outlay.
