View Full Version : After market barrels??
Hi,
I'm in the early stages of starting to reload for the 9mm/.45. Does anyone know of any after market barrels for the USPc in 9mm and .45 that can shoot them? New or used does not matter so long as they function okay.
Thanks.

Just curious why you need an aftermarket barrel to shoot your reloads?
I reload for my USP .45 and P30L 9mm and just use the stock barrels.

Maybe he wants to use cast bullets so he wants a rifled barrel.

Javis makes a barrel that is second to none, including a factory HK barrel.

My only complaint about the Jarvis barrel is the blueing process he uses isn't as good as the factory HK.
Therefore much of the stainless steel gets exposed after 1 or 2 trips to the range. Otherwise, great barrel.

Question: does anybody know if Jarvis is going to make aftermarket barrels for both the HK45 & HK45c ?

My understanding (and I could be wrong) is that the rifling on the USPs are not meant to shoot reloads just like the Glocks. If I am incorrect on this..could someone provide some insights on their shooting reloads experience? I don't reload lead, only fmj.

What makes Jarvis better than the factory barrel?

As long as you are not using lead bullets you don't you don't need an aftermarket barrel. Most manufacturers, especially ones that warranty a firearm for life, will tell you not to shoot reloads out of their semi autos. They do this because they don't want to be liable for a lawsuit or responsible to repair or replace a firearm because some psycho decided to try to get a 230g 45acp bullet to go as fast as a 175g 10mm.

wondering same... does Jarvis make a polygonal rifling like HK?
