Hi All,

My sister took this pic with a canon rebel digital camera. It is a USP .45 KF date with MMC night sights. It has had about 8000 or so through it. After various affairs with other pistols I have returned to it, and it feels like the first time. It looks like the slide is in a moment of stasis, niether moving forward nor backward. The empty is actually more blurred than the slide. I think it is a really cool pic.

I have started competing in USPSA and IDPA and love it.

I included a S&W scandium commander "in action" and a mossberg persuader "in action" as well. Enjoy.

Nice photos, was the last round fired and slide locked back on the first photo?

I cant remember. I just stuck a loaded mag in my usp and tried to look at it with the same angle and I could see the top of the next round in the mag, courtesy of the USP's excellent feed angle. So it could be that it is in slide lock. Or the next round could not have been pushed up yet in the recoil cycle. I don't know, but I would think the next round would be up and ready to go by that point in the recoil cycle. It could very well be that it is in slide lock, and that empty was the last round. I'll see if I can get some more pictures in recoil to see if the next round appears.

Ok, I have figured it out now. Yes, it must have been in slide lock because the following three pictures show it. The empties on the following three photos are in nearly the same position as my first pic of the usp. My bro-in-law is shooting a para ssp lda and my s&w.

The first pic shows slide lock, and the last two show the guns right back in battery.
