Hey,

Does my HK45C have to go back to HK for them to switch the safety? I am a left handed shooter and thought I could get used to the safety where it was, but it's rather annoying and want it switched over. I was just wondering if my local gunsmith could do something like this.

Thanks.

I believe you need a V2 conversion - check out this thread!

Yes, a local gunsmith SHOULD be able to do it. Always ask first though how long its BEEN since they have worked on an HK!!!!! Fellow Southpaw here!!! When I took my USP 9 to the gunsmith to have them put my new V2 control lever on he said "Wow, its been YEARS since we've even worked on an HK." IMO, call the gunsmith first, they might have to do some digging to find the HK book.
