Good afternoon all!
I just traded in my Glock model 30, for a HK45 (wow great gun), not that the Glock was bad. My question is can I get a safety lever for the right side of the slide since I am a lefty? Probably a dumb qustion, but this is my first HK.

Small world, I traded my Glock 21SF for a HK45. Also being a lefty, I sent mine in to HK for a V2(lefty) conversion. Call HK customer service and they'll set up a RMA number to get the work done. Get ready to play some phone tag though. From my two mods with HK, it's better to just call every hour or two rather than leave voice mail.

Like he said, call up H&K and set up an RMA to send it back to H&K for a Variant 2 conversion. Variant 2 will also have a decocker.

I got mine back about 3 weeks ago. Had the conversion to a V1/V2.
They give you back your V1 lever.
Works great. This was on a HK45c

IMO, see if you can find the V2 lever on the net and have a local gunsmith do the work instead of paying that high shipping cost. I did that for my USP 9V1-V2. If it turns out HK is the only one that has the lever then its off to HK. Or ask HK if they can sell you the V2 lever and then have a local gunsmith do the work.

Not sure how much harder it would be for an HK45 vs. USP45 but I had the same issue. Swapped levers with another member on here and did the install myself in about 30 minutes. I didn't have a lot of gunsmithing experience and none with H&K but it was pretty straight forward. Just keep track of where everything came from.

Thanks to all of you for the info!
I took the the pistol out to the range last week and shout out to about 40 feet and very impressive tactical accuracy! Put about 100 rounds through it, zero malfunctions. My buddy had his Glock out and the Glock is a good pistol, but the HK is in another class!
