I have seen some posts where it has been confirmed that some holsters for the HK45 will fit the P30L. I do not want a kydex holster and would much rather have a nice piece of custom leather. I spoke to Rosen, Sparks, Kramer, HN & HBE yesterday who all said variations of a) they didn't have a mold b) they had had no demand (or had never heard of the gun) c) be sure not to hold your breath. I didnt call crossbreed as IMO they make the ugliest holsters around. Rosen said that he would make one for me if I shipped the gun to him and paid a $300 fee on top of the price of the holster (so about $650 all in), Sparks were more reasonable but again would need my gun at my expense which just isn't happening. Of course the irony is that I doubt any of these folks are making a note, mental or otherwise as to the calls that they do get for this holster and so the idea of sitting on the fence to gauge demand is probably one born of poor logic (especially with multiple staff members on-site who are probably answering the phone whilst doing five other things at once). I just can't believe that I am any of these folks first enquiry, but all of them sounded as unsure as each other. I was surprised that Rosen wanted so much from me for what is already a popular pistol and one that will be made for a few years yet. If I had a super duper custom, 100 made exclusive never-to-be-seen again pistol then yeah charge a big premium for bothering but a gun that once he has a mold for could be used to sell more holsters? (especially with the competition with their collective heads up their you know whats). Overnight shipping both ways, a hefty surcharge and then the full price of the holster all on my dime? yeah right. So I am wondering how much of a gamble it would be to have a holster made from them for the HK45. I only have the 45 compact and so I can't do a physical comparison with my P30L and whilst I am normally a bit of a gambler I don't want to wait ages, spend a small fortune and then be largely disappointed. So for those of you with both, does this sound like a feasible plan? I should add that both Bullman and TT accepted an order from me on the off chance that they get the mold before it's my turn, which whilst helpful is hardly conclusive. Please forgive the obvious oxymoron here. Thanks folks
ps is it me or has Bullman just had a big price rise? I was looking at their QRH in Feb which I'm sure was listed at $105 and it is now $160 on their site. Ouch!

I have purchased most of my MS holsters from Lightening Arms Sports in Beaverton Oregon. A few years back when the P2sk first came out Craig was not able to get a VMII for the gun.
He was kind enough to give me a name at Milt Sparks (sorry don't rememer the name), anyway. I called and made arrangements to send my pistol and have a holster made. I had no issues and the turn around was not a problem. I don't recall if the gun was returned prior to the holster, but I would imagine I received the gun back before the holster arrived. I was satisfied with the service and prefer the VMII in most instances for a CCW holster. I would not hesitate to do the same again..
I have a P30 and P30L. My P30 works in my MS VMII USPc 9mm. The P30L Works great in a USP45 and USP MS VMII. I don't have an issue with the fit on either. The P30 maybe a very little bit high on the 9mm USPc but not noticible and in no way effects the holster. Draw from either is smooth and normal.
Sorry, I don't have experience with any other holster manufactures..

Thanks Tony, I appreciate your comments. Just to confirm then there is no issue with the trigger guard area when using a USP45 VMII holster with the P30L?

I have Kramer Leather Vertical Scabbards Horsehide holsters - 1 for my HK45 and another HK45C. I am able to use the same holsters for the HK P30 and HK P30L. I am going to order the Kramer Inside The Waistband #3 Horsehide for the HK45C and use it with the HK P30 and HK P30L and the HK45C of course. The HK45 and HK P30L barrel length will still fit fine in the shorter HK45C holster too, the gun just rides a bit higher is all.
I like leather because the pistol doesn't show any wear marks with the leather holsters and the leather is comfortable against my skin. I have had a couple of Kramer holsters on order and it seems that they are running about 6 weeks to make/ship the holsters. Here's a link if you need it: http://www.kramerleather.com/home.cfm

Excellent, so it would seem that the real oxymoron here is that of custom gun leather itself. It's made just for your gun....... but it will fit others!
Thanks a bunch chaps, I shall now recheck all of these places offerings, pick a holster and order it with impunity :100000:

Carrots...
I can't see any problems. I'm fairly critical, though not too technical...But, to me a MS VMII USPf will work great with the P30L...
I have two one say USP one says USP 45...Either works equally well. Trigger guard area, just fine..
Hope this helps..

Excellent, thank you for taking the time. Fingers crossed Sparks will let me add to my existing order when I call them next week. Do you happen to have a mag pouch that you could do the same check on? Regardless thanks again!

Just like on the HK45 & 45c, the problem was HK providing a gun to the dummy gun makers to make a mold. That is what held up MS from making holsters for the HK45.
