Just looking for verification of your buying experience.

Quick summary, Mr. Holland is the individual who has NIB P7's imported by PW Arms for $750 ea (German army surplus [?], includes two mags, original box, etc).

I just want to make sure that by sending him a money order I won't end up with an empty bag. The HKPro member that said he had bought one never answered my PMs and only has single digit posts, so I'm not 100% confident at this point.

Anyone?

PS I know CDNN has P7s, but since I'm in Texas the cost of buying one + tax + the extra mag would make the price just about the same.

My son & I ordered two from him for $705 each. Another member here Mustang 400 also ordered one. Could not be more happy w/ the gun. As I said it was pristine.
I never sent him PM, but he always answers his e-mail, sometimes w/i a few hours. He is even more friendly on the phone.
I was a bit hesitant in the beginning so I used USPS MO. He ships on same day when he receives money, using USPS, $25, a bit slower than FedEX & UPS but cheaper.

Last time I heard he has 54 left. He has a few B grades for $675.

He does not answer his PM probably because he does not post that much.

No financial interest in his enterprise.

FYI, P7 mags are now $105/each on GB

If you sent me a PM, I did not receive it.

Thanks wulkyrie.

Considering the cost of the mags I really can't see buying the CDNN Grade A as a good investment. Were you able to see pictures of the guns before you bought?

Also, what exactly came with each P7 besides the two mags?

Each package contains:
1. one pristine P7 serial # 77xxx
2. two magazines
3. take-down tool
4. bronze brush
5. test target w/ matching serial #
6. plastic box

no scraper

the pictures I saw are the ones he posted on GB; one of the pictures actually shows some brown smudge that look like rust. In actuality it was packing grease. When my son & I clean the gun, there was some packing grease on the inside. External exam did not even show finger prints. Wish I had a digital camera at hand so I can send you some pics.

I was debating between getting CDNN grade A or John's stuff. The reason I chose John's P7 are:
1. CDNN's grade A ocassionally has a lemon that the buyer has to return, not a common occurrance but I have seen a couple w/ external blemishes to put me off. If you have a good specimen, it is very good. If you return it, the salesman will hand pick a replacement. But why can't they pick a good one in the first try?
2. occassionally a purple slide which I hate.
3. only one magazine
4. As far as I can tell, the current batch of PW ARMS are all LNIB: unissued, unholstered, unfired (except for test firing) and in storage, but I cannot guarantee the same condition for the CDNN grade As

BTW, if it matters to you John Holland's P7 are all military surplus & not police trade-ins. Knowing how much the military stresses on long guns rather than pistols, I think these P7s probably see less use than police ones

Perfect, that is what I was looking for.

I'd rather go with John's P7 over CDNN because the sales tax + lack of another mag negates any advantage CDNN has on price, but since I've done business with CDNN (Marshall) in the past I was more comfortable with them than a private FFL.

I'll be sending off the money order next week, thanks wulkyrie.

Good luck & post some pics
Forgot to mention:
1. John has three day non-firing inspection period also.
2. Inspect at the Dealer's place before accepting the merchandise. If you decide against taking it, send it back (you pay postage) but it does not count as an FFL transfer unless you accept it. Saves FFL transfer fee

All good points, and I'll certainly post pics :D

Thanks mustang400. Your username is quite apropos considering I just had a front end collision in my Mustang this afternoon. :( Thank goodness for insurance or I'd have to give up on the P7 I'm about to order.
