I stopped in at a local outfitters store and they had a USP .40 with a stainless slide and a USP Compact 9mm with a stainless slide. Both were AK date codes, making them '09s. Has HK started importing stainless USP's again? I have three stainless USP's with date codes from 96 to 00 and the two in the store have two distinct differences: 1) the HK on the slide is gold like the proof markings and dates codes; and 2) on the grip it just has "USP" on it where my older ones have "HK USP" on the grips. Any info on this would be greatly appreciated. I talked to my regular gun shop and he knew nothing about it and is going to do some digging with his distributors on monday.
FYI-they were pricey...$915 for the FS and $950 for the compact!
Any "AK" in the Mark 23 flavor??? :D

I saw the same models today at my gun shop!! AK date code with STAINLESS slides. They're baaaaaack. Beautiful guns - a USP40F and a USP9c. (My shop was selling them both at $1195 - ouch!) My buddy at the shop told me the HK rep said they would eventually receive all the USP models in stainless. What goes around comes around, right?

I'd take a USPc 9mm in stainless... prices are a bit steep for pistols that I'm having trouble finding ammo for though. ;) I found 5 boxes of Lawman .45 ACP today at $19 a box! Sad thing is I felt fortunate to snag them. I told the shop owner he'd better start stocking rocks and sling shots the way things are going with ammo.

What would be nice is if they made the P2000 with a stainless slide. I'd be all over that. Heck, they should offer all their guns in stainless..even the newer ones. I mean it would only increase their sales.

Bender...did you notice the gold hk on the slide though? Maybe I'm a purist, but I like the uniformed look of my older stainless usp's. What do those of you whom have seen them think?

In the excitement of actually seeing a BRAND NEW two-tone, I must have missed the gold HK. I've been looking for these babies for over two years now and only have a USP45 Full in stainless (KK date code) to show for it. I found a USP9 (KI) about a year ago but it was in really bad shape so I passed.
Guess they won't be so hard to find anymore?

I've said for years I'll believe it when I see it. Looks like I sees it! Great news. Now a few more stainless need to be added, namely a USP .40 and a USPC and USP 9mms in stainless. Other than them being in stainless I don't have much use for the last two.
I do hope the price comes down a lot. Last time stainless only demanded about a $20 premium, not a $300 one! At that price my collection can do without them quite nicely.
Now that they are out so help me God the first post I see where someone says "I'll never buy one 'cause they are not not tactical enough and the bright stainless will give away my position" (which is pure BS IMO anyway) I swear blood will shoot out of my ears. That is the major complaint I heard about the stainless pistols before and then when HK dced them, then it seemed like everybody couldn't live without them. Does that mean the Match might be back also???
Now that they are back, let's start buying them or they will be DCed again and you can bet HK won't listen to the cries of "I'll take two" next time.

Are they making them in USP 45acp?
$915 -- $1195 is pretty pricey...ouch! Im sure the prices will come down in a few months...like any new offering the price is high.
The gold color in/around the laser etching is just a by product of the heat generated my the laser, its not painted gold.
Cant wait to see the stainless .45's showing up at the dealers!

+1, AMEN!...THANK YOU! That's right up there with the guy complaining that the rattle from the right side slide release on his P2000 would give up his position. The guy was an auto mechanic. Sorry for the rant.
I 2nd THAT! The 'gray gun is not tactical' argument is a bunch of hooey, none of my stainless and hard chrome pistols reflect any light, thats because the finish on them is done in matte`

Good news...guess i will have to start saving my pennies for a USPc 9mm...
+1 on the idea of making the P30/P2000/HK45 models with stainless slides...I would snatch a P30L stainless up in a matter of seconds!!

I got a shop here who says he can get whatever I want in H&K :) If you want the shop name let me know he had USP compact 40.'s NIB retail for $779. Probably could be had for less

probably old news by now but i picked up a USPc .45 in stainless with an AK date code.
FWIW mine does not have gold anywhere on the slide, the grip says USP on both sides and the right side of the slide does not have Heckler & Koch stamped on it like this AK.

I picked up a USPc 40 SS about a month or two ago. $859 at my local shop. I go in there every once in a while and just take a look through everything he has in HK. As soon as it came out I bought it on the spot.
PS no gold

$859 seems like a good deal. i wasn't in the market for a .40 so i didn't spend much time pricing them though.
mine was $849 + 3% + $25 shipping + $35 FFL at pickup, all said and done i'm out about $950 for my .45. perhaps not the best deal around but i had the i wants real bad. FWIW Cabellas by my place doesn't even have the compact in stainless and they want $1150 plus tax for a compact .45
My local gunshop had a USPf 45 in stainless with 10 round mags. They wanted $125.00 more for it than the HE finish. No gold HK on the stainless fullsize, nor on my 2000 stainless HK USPc 45.
I ordered the HE finished USPf 45 with 12 round mags. I like my SS compact but I wasn't going to buy a SS fullsize with 10 rounders for that much more money.
