Hi,

Was at the Kalispell Montana gun show and this older local fella had a P7 M13 with 2 mags, no box, Chantilly VA import mark, absolutely new and unfired (to my eyes), didn't check date code, $999 out the door, can anyone tell me "why not"???

Thanks,

Scott

Even with finish wear and used but not abused, that's a steal.

Thanks guys, my jaw was too busy dropping open when I was examining what he had and heard what he wanted for it. The gun felt SO GOOD in my hand. This would be my first ever 9mm!

I'll call him Sunday and arrange the purchase, if he hasn't sold it already. I'll keep you posted.

That is the most incredible price I have ever heard of for one of those. Old beat up junk ones sell for hundreds more than that.

Hopefully it'll still be there, if anyone that knew what it was saw it....

Gentlemen,

I scored it. "IH" date code, the only proof marks I see are what looks like a "Phoenix symbol" over an "N" on the slide and frame and what looks like a stag antler on the frame. Two matching date-coded mags, mint condition, I gave him a $1 tip so $1K took it home...I'm stoked!!!!!!

Yeah, right. Suuuuuure you did. You looked all that up on the World of HK home page, didn't you. We're gonna need a proof of life pic. No pic = didn't happen.

Ok, just, wow. A mint P7M13 for a grand. Easily the gunshow deal of the year. Start looking for a cylinder scraper and brush. You saved easily $600-$800 over the going rate, so you can afford them.

But nice find.

Now let's see those pics!

Way to go man! A true no brainer. Pics please.

OTOH, I was at a gun show in Montrose, Colo. this weekend. The only H&K there was [probably] the one I was carrying (I was foolish enough to believe that I might find a P7M8 or a Colt Python).

One of the vendors had a huge selection of standard capacity magazines, at some pretty good prices, for virtually all pistols except H&K.

There was an H&K EBR (Evil Black Rifle), a G3 I think. It had a SOLD tag on it but I don't know what it went for.

You only paid 1000 for brand new p7m13? Unbelievable. Good job.

Thanks fellas. I don't do the online photo hosting thing but it looks very similar to this one, except it doesn't have the little scrapes on the side of the squeeze cocker

http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=125865297

All of this in the middle of a home and office move, so when the dust settles, and someone would like me to email pics they can post, that's be fine.

My Dad asked me when I told him..."Son, are you sure it isn't hot?" LOL I said well, I got the guys full name and phone number and hometown and I can pick him out of a lineup....

Roger that on the gas cylinder cleaning tool and brush, which leads to my next question, where to find a manual or manual of arms? I've got the squeeze cocker, got the mag release, not sure what the button on the rear left of the slide is. I need to learn how to field strip this puppy!

I asked the question b/c if something sounds too good to be true.....like the difference between the value of the P7 M8 and PSP, or whatever other deal CDNN were having that had the guns at less than expected value, wasn't sure if there were any pitfalls. THANK YOU for the kind and quick and supportive comments, as this allowed me to pull the trigger on this deal in a timely manner.

Oh, and with my eyes closed and the gun extended out in front of me in a one handed hold, I open my eyes and everything lines up perfect! A natural pointer for me!

Loptics-

First, congratulations on your new addition

That button on the left rear of the frame is the take-down button.

In order to field-strip it:

1. push and hold that button,
2. pull the slide about half an inch to the rear
3. lift the rear of the slide up
4. while holding the rear of the slide up, move it forward to remove it

It will take some practice to get this process down pat, but here are some pics that should help:

That's awesome. Perfect. Now, the only real thing I need to do is clean the bore, lube the rails, and clean the gas cylinder, right? I do not need to disassemble the frame or slide for normal maintenance. Also, with the gun assembled, the firing pin can be removed by squeezing the cocker and using the tool to rotate the rear housing like in the illustration?

Google for "p7m13 manual pdf" and you can download the complete manual, it'll be in the top 10 hits.

The P7 mechanism is so different than any other JMB derivative pistol that you really do need to read the manual.

That is such a crazy price. I hope I win the lottery someday....

Dude is going to show up on his doorstep this week looking for some favors. Nice. Still a great deal, though. I need to find someone who will trade sexual favors for HKs :)

If you guys really want to get sick........ I picked up a P7 silver slide at my local shop the other night. The store is owned by former LEO and some current LEO. One officer I deal with all the time wrote up my gun and says "want to see my P7M13 nickel"? "Of course" I reply. He proceeds to show me a LNIB M13 in a nice case wit 4 extra mags. How much did he get it from the guy for?

$500.00!!!!!!!!!!

Seems the guy was facing a domestic abuse charge and the court was going to confiscate his guns. He sold an MK23 and this P7M13 for $1000. Is that crazy or what? I mean this gun looked brand spanking new!!! So now he has a P7M8 nickel and P7M13 nickel. Granted the guy was desperate but Wow!

Damn! My local shop wants $1199 for a P7PSP in OK but not LNIB condition.

No joke. Earlier this year, I found a USP45 Stainless in like new condition with 2 mags at the local gun show for $400. Stupid me, I asked them THREE times if that was the correct price before paying for it and literally running away. (Thought they'd change their mind.)

..."Son, are you sure it isn't hot?"

Trust me, put a hundred rounds through that baby and you'll see the true meaning of the word: HOT!
