Hello Folks I am new to this forum!
Well I have had my H&K Cherry Popped.. I normally Daily Carry a SA Champion or SA TRP.. I went to my local Gun Shop and he had received a used HK45 that was selling for a real low price for LNIB. Once I picked it up, Held It, Dry fired it on SA, I was sold... It will now become my Daily Carry weapon... Its MORE combat reliable and less worrisome then my 1911's.. Not that I don’t love them, I just feel more comfortable with a Plastic Tactical Gun for Possible Close Encounters... (Couldn’t do XD, Glock, or Taurus):44:
Here is my HK45 and family....

You made a wise choice....I own a couple of 1911's myself and they DO have their drawbacks...Out of the box I believe the HK's are more reilable, and over the life of the pistol will have very few if any problems. I had a XD45, and will soon be selling a M&P 45, Neither one of these pistols were on the same level as my HK's.

It shoots very well.... It is reminescent of a 1911 in the way it shootss A little wider by the thumb but there is no adjustment in the way I hold it(like I would a Glock or M&P Ext.) As for accuracy it runs the same as my TRP at 7 to 10 yards... Now at 15 to 20, the shot groups are more spread but at the same time I might need to get used to the H&K sights...

I'm new to the HK arena as well (even if it's by proxy). My wife bought herself a P30 9mm V3 and she loves it (as do I). She's left handed and liked the position of the controls and the interchangable grip panels. She did have a M&P compact, but after a Bruce Gray class, she knew she needed something better. Lucky for me, because I now use the M&P as a BUG. Now all we need is to find 2 more HK mags...man those are hard to find!

I have a hard time picking my favorite HK, but everytime I shoot my HK45 I remember why it's always in the top two! Congratulations and welcome to the addiction!

Good answer! ;) "It's my wife's" wink. Just messing with you. I've been hearing good things about them lately. Deep conceal is why I bought the PSP. I've never held one, but they look tiny!

LOL They are tiny and NO FUN to shoot.... If you get Glock Bites you will sure get bit by one of these damn guns.. way to small for my hand.

Ditto. Not fun to shoot at all. My PM9 reminded me of my old Walther PPK 380 - same hand bites and all.

Now if you want something fun to shoot? Get yourself a nice P7 to join that HK45!

That's a nice family of HK's for sure. And the extended family looks good as well.
I have a XDM 9 as a little cousin to my USP Tac .45 and like it very much. But I don't daily carry so there ya go.

I tried out a P7 at my local range and I dont really like it.. The Coking Handle always pinches my middle finger between it and the trigger guard. Its not comfertable for me at all..

I did mean the PSP. And I'd never shoot a Glock unless it was free. The only thing that has ever bit my hand was a PPK, and I admit that it is less than desireable. I can't wait to shoot my PSP, who knows? I got big hands, so we'll have to see!

well I havent seen any others I really like yet, It was a Fluke to pick the HK45 up. It just felt so natural to me due to the fact all I have been shooting the last 4 years is 1911.
