When I see USP pistols, there are two types of markings on the magwell. One is HK USP, and the other is just USP. How they are different?
(I guess the marking USP is the older one.)
P.S : allmost all USP compact tactical ones are marked USP. Are they the older model Generation1 like glocks?

It just changes. It doesn't mean anything is different about what frame from another. HK just changes markings on things all the time. Mags, floorplates, slides, frames, barrels, etc.

The "HK usp" marking I think can be seen on early (94-00 of so) guns, and the USP shows up every now and then after about 2000. I really don't know the exact dates, but they've changed back and forth a couple times. And to me it's really not important.

Edited to add: the earliest USP pistols said "HK usp" on both sides of the frame. Now they say that on one side and then have patent information on the other.

On the same topic. I ordered two extra 12rnd mags for my USP Tac 45 and they were marked differently as well. The original mags said Restricted Law Enforcement Government Use Only 10-94. The extra mags I bought came in HK packaging but had no HK markings on it, just said Made in Germany, otherwise the same
When I first bought my USP and looked at the mag markings I was a bit concerned but I purchased it from a Large Sporting Goods Retailer new so I figured it was all kosher.

I thought all the USP .45 mags had HK on the bottom?

Both sets of mags, orginal and replacement, say USP .45 on the floorplates.
