I've seen this now on both a P2000SK and a USP.
On the top left corner on the left side of the slide where "HK" is engraved right next to it in small letters "PS" is also engraved. Its so small it almost looks like a "registered trademark" mark but its not.
Anyone know what the heck "PS" is and why its on the H&K logo?
I don't own a gun with that mark on it but I've seen two so far at gunstores with it.
The USP in this thread bears the mark too- http://hkpro.com/forum/showthread.php?t=103558

Isn't it JS?

To follow up on my comment, the JS stands for Jagd- und Sportwaffen GmbH, which means Hunting and Sport Weapons.

yeah you're right its JS.
I was just going off recent memory when I started this thread which I guess wasn't too good.
Why does HK put that on there? I prefer just HK and not HK JS.

Why does HK put that on there? I prefer just HK and not HK JS.H&K is crazy with their rollmarking. They have changed their rollmarks so many times and more recently they started adding a "DE" to the side of their pistols. I guess it's a new law in Germany that requires it.. "DE" = Germany

They don't seem to care how the rollmarks affect the look and consistency of their products. They also have a problem with mismatching the date code rollmarked on the slide and frame during assembly. It's not uncommon to get a gun with an AH slide and an AG frame, for example. However, I can get over these issues quickly if it still SHOOTS like an H&K:)

My HK P2000 SK V2 9mm (AE) has "JS" right after the "HK" logo on the slide and frame:

(Also note the "Heckler & Koch" on the right side of the slide.)

My HK P2000 SK V3 9mm (AF) has "JS" only on the left side of the slide:

My HK P2000 V3 9mm (AD) does not have "JS" anywhere:

The "JS" may also be present on the right side of the barrel hood.

Wow on the frame too.
Wish they would just get it together and do it one way or the other.
I've worked for companies that make retail products before and its usually some new sales guy or product developer's idea to add something to a product like a new logo... then 6 months down the road they just go back to how it originally was

Ditto, HK changes roll marking as often as one changes their underware. I have a Tactical .40 with "Heckler & Koch" on the left side of the frame, but no "HK" on the right. Just .45 ACP and USP Tactical.
