Another handgun, or a rifle? Or perhaps a carbine?

If a handgun, check out the P7s, or perhaps HK45.

And you've got to have at least one rifle. The 91s and 93s continue to rise in value, or the SL8s are great shooters as well.

If you'd consider a carbine, everyone needs at least one MP5, or for the modern ones, a UMP conversion (or just the USC is nice too).

I'd say go with a rifle.... A handgun keeps people off your person. A shotgun keeps them out of your house. And a rifle keeps them off your property. :D

I'm a USP fan, and well i would get one in a caliper thats cheap to shoot, its no fun to have a weapon if you cant afford to shoot it, just my .2

I was in the hunt for another handgun. My p2000sk is a .40 Cal. Thinking bout a .45 Cal

Since you have .40,......
There is a listing here, NOT MINE, for a super sweet USP Tactical .40 S&W
I have one like it,...... it's a tack driver!

First, I would say to get another 40 to keep things simple ammo-wise.

Then I would either recommend the P2000 in 40, especially since you can use its larger magazines in your SK; or, just go all the way to the other end of the spectrum to the USP Tactical 40 V1 (truly a real tack-driver, and a pleasure to shoot). :)

As much as I love all my HKs, eventually you WILL get a P7. Might as well get it out of the way early in your collection. Amazing weapon and 9mm is still somewhat affordable.

I started with the P2000sk V2 in .40S&W then jumped on a USP Tactical V1 in the same caliber. I thought staying with the same caliber made it easier to control inventory.

On upgrades I just received the first 12 round mag and an X-Grip to see how these improves my grip on the P2000sk. For my hand size that is a perfect fit, although my only concern with this is if anything might happen during quick mag changes if the X-Grip moves around any.

Next accessory buying trip will consist of a Jet Funnel kit and the high capacity mags for the USP Tactical (thread protector too).

And.... I'm on the lookout for a Combat Competition and USP Compact both in .40 S&W and the daughter wants a P2000sk also (yes, she has the bug too).

Have thought about getting a 9mm and 45ACP to round things off, just in case.

P2Ksk was my first HK also. I would get the X-grips and some P2K mags if you haven't already. Kind of like having a P2K also.

I highly recommend the P30. I absolutely love mine. I guess I'm moving backwards because next I bought a USP SD followed by a P7 due later this week. P30 has the best grip, but I sure love the P2Ksk!

I would recommend a P30, HK45, or USP Tactical. Since you already have .40 get a USP .40 Tactical. I have the 3 aforementioned pistols and love them all but the Tactical is an absolute tack driver and every HK collection needs to have a USP. All in all, you really can't go wrong as long as its an HK!

There's also a USP 45 compact tactical in the want ads. That made me reach for my wallett. Too bad there were only cobwebs...

It depends what you want to do with it and how much you want to spend. The .40 USP are readily available at all gun shows and you can get one used cheap ~$520-$600. It is a great gun. There are combat competetion out there with the kewl Novak fiber optic front sight and funnel jet. If you maybe want the ability to add a silencer you will have to get the Tactical. ~$850-1100. The best of the bunch is (IMO) the Expert. There are always a few on GB. $850+ used. The Expert gives you the longest sight radius, match trigger, 16rd magazines and the most accurate of the .40's. Its a dream to shoot. If you go into other calibers the matchups are about the same only the ammo comes into the mix.

Like the above post said. What do you plan on using the gun for?
Carry? Range? Home defense?
