HK45 detent plate pin sliding out

I was cleaning my HK45 and when I was putting it back together the slide wouldn't go all the way back. I took a closer look and the pin was sticking out, so I pushed it back in and problem solved. I called HK and they told me that once in a while it will slide out and to just push it back in. My question is, has any of you had this happen to you?

Thanks, that's exactly the problem I'm having. I pushed it back in, played with safety a bit and it seems to be staying in place. The HK rep told me that it coulb be due to hard brushing in the area and to keep an eye on it. I was just wanting to make sure that it wasn't a serious problem that would affect the reliability of the gun.

The going theory around here is that the pin cannot fall all of the way out while the slide is on the gun, so it could not cause a reliability issue while firing. but that it may fall out while cleaning.

Looks like it's HK theory too as the guy told me not to worry about it and to just keep an eye on it.
