USP 9mm/40 holster for 45?

Would a USP 45 full size fit into a holster made for USP 9mm/40 full size? I know the 45's barrel is 0.16" longer and overall 0.23" longer and 0.2" taller, does that made it not fit? The few used holsters I'm looking at are open top and I don't care if it poke out of the bottom a little. Many thanks in advance.

I have not tried this but the fact that every time I see a USP holster advertised the seller lists whether it is for the 45 or for both the 9/40 would lead me to believe that there is enough of a difference for it to matter. Of course the fundamental shapes are v. similar, but with a big choice of both holster types frequently offered I have to ask why you wouldn’t just get the right one?
