P30 Match Trigger or LEM "Light" Trigger

I've been hearing a match trigger is in the works for the P30. My question is which trigger would be better? If i have an LEM light P30, would I be able to convert it to a match trigger or would it be better to convert a V3 DA/SA p30 to a match trigger. Please post pros/cons of both. Thanks for any help.

Oh and just to make your decision a little more difficult you can ponder if you should add match trigger parts to the LEM trigger to create the combat competition trigger.

Really comes down to which you like better so you should shoot both and just see which you like better. It's a personal preference type of situation. There is no better. Shoot the HK45 and see how you like that SA/DA trigger. It has a match sear. The p30 match will be even a bit better. I love the trigger on the HK45.

Thanks for the reply. I definitely agree its a personal preference. I recently purchased a HK45 but still haven't shot it yet. Hopefully this weekend.

Great choice. Yes, I was very pleased with the HK45 and the trigger. I shot tighter groups with it than with the p30. The trigger is that good for me. I went with the p30L b/c I liked the HK45 so much in terms of balance and the weight of the gun. They are both very similar in dimension, weight, and balance. Slight edge to the L for the ergos. Both very awesome and having both is ideal. I dream about outfitting the p30L with a trigger that is on par with the HK45's or better.

I wish I had both the HK45 and the P30L. I actually only have the p30L for now. I have not had any trigger work done to the gun yet. I am patiently waiting to see what the match trigger brings to the table.

I spoke with an HK rep this week and he said that the match kit was in the works for the P30. I had both the LEM and V3 (DA/SA) and liked the LEM so much that I sold my V3. I plan to install the match kit as soon as its available and then I plan on sending the gun to GrayGuns to install their short reset package and overtravel stop. It should be one sweet setup that might even make me "forget" about shooting my HK45.

Well that sucks. Just ordered the P30 LEM V2 today from clyde armory. Anyone know if HK has the spring in-stock to convert to a V4 trigger pull? Thanks to everyone for the replies.

I heard similar tales when the p30L was not supposed to be released in the states. The bottom line is HK USA has no idea what HK Germany is up to. The people in the know at HK USA seem not to share future project info and product release info with the staff. You hear many conflicting statements coming from the phone and email reps all the time.

It appears that while a DA/SA is the only available model from the factory, the conversion (http://hkpro.com/forum/showthread.php?t=40627) (Big Bore's post) is straightforward for an armorer.

I believe LEMs are available. Mine came from the factory as a V2 (heaviest LEM). I converted it to V4 (middleweight LEM) with Big Bore's instructions.

Personally, I don't like the lightest LEM (V1). The trigger reset is much stronger and thus faster with the heavier trigger spring from the V2/V4.

Indeed they are - thanks! It looks like the hk-usa.com site has been updated recently. While the specification tab shows only V3s for both P30 & P30L, the general tab (http://www.hk-usa.com/p30_general.asp) for the P30 shows several available variations: V0, V1, V2, V3, V4 & V6. Guess I'd better choose a variant and modify my order.

Match trigger for the P30? Wow! And here I was thinking about selling that bad boy. This totally changes things! Put me in line for one. (Now how am I going to pay for that next P7M8?)
