I'm looking for a holster for a P2000sk. All I've ever worn has been the less expensive fabric type holsters. I'm now looking at the Infidel by Comp Tac but wondered if a plastic type holster would be as comfortable to wear IWB as a fabric.

Thoughts? Thx!

Check out their Minotaur M-TAC. That's what I have, and I love it. It's probably the best CCW IWB in my opinion . Comfort of leather, speed and retention of kydex.

Thanks, I checked it out. One thing I didn't mention is living in South Florida I'm in shorts and T shirt 11 1/2 months out of the year. Therefore, a small of the back works best for concealability.
To carry at the 10 o'clock or so position shows through (unless I buy my shirts a size too large).

Try a Crossbreed SuperTuck holster. I have both that and the MTac. Both are good, but the CB has a bit more leather to keep the rear of the slide completely off my skin. Excellent companies both. (Used with P2000sk)

How would that work as a SOB holster? How about a C-Tac as SOB?
Thx!

I wear at 3 o'clock but I would expect either to work well. The extra leather on the Crossbreed might be a bit more comfortable. Both holsters have ample adjustments so you can locate the pistol relative to your belt easily. Personally, the risk of spinal injury doesn't make me want to wear SOB. On the side, I can even access while sitting in a vehicle if necessary. Can't do that SOB.

Same here. I have the p2000sk and I carry it in a the MTAC and it absolutely disappears. Best carry set up I've had.

I've heard nothing but good things about the Crossbreed Supertuck and the Comp-Tac holsters. If I was looking at one of these leather/kydex hybrid holsters, I'd probably go with the Crossbreed Supertuck.
However, I prefer a custom leather holster. I ordered this one for my P2000sk (http://www.ttgunleather.com/catalog/i65.html). I upgraded mine with the shark skin trim. I ordered it January 26 and have yet to receive it. However, on their website it says they are working on orders for the week when my order was placed. I expect to receive it within the next couple days. I'll let you know how I like it once it comes in. Total wait time for me was about 4 and a half months. It's probably longer by now though.

Bite the bullet and order a Milt Sparks holster. It'll take 6 months to get it and it will cost a fortune, but it will disappear the pistol and their quality is fantastic.
I carried a Sig P-228 in a Milt Sparks Summer Special 2 (or Heritage, not sure exactly). And with the right shirt, it was do-able in the summer, in Atlanta.
I use a SS2 for my G19 and just received my horsehide SS2 for my USPc 45.

I happen to own the Comp-Tac Infidel for my P2000SK. I think it is pretty comfortable. You will know it's there because it is a hard plastic but it doesn't hurt after wearing it for a while. I'm guessing it won't be more comfortable than soft fabric. I've never used a fabric holster for mine as this is my first holster so I can't compare.
I've worn it while driving, out to eat, on the couch, at the movies, just about everywhere in public I have tested carrying. I'm a lefty so I usually wear it anywhere between 8 and 9 o'clock. I have to wear mine at 8 o'clock while sitting so it doesn't dig into me, but I don't consider that a problem. It's going to depend on body shape. Otherwise I wear it around 9 o'clock while standing. Sometimes I prefer it at 8 while standing too.
I have the belt clip for mine and it holds great since I got it sized for the width of my belt. I love the draw on this holster. The gun sort of "clicks" in to the holster securing it and once you learn how to release it's very quick. I also really like how the SK sits in the holster. It's very low, all that sticks out is the butt of the gun so it doesn't protrude that much or "print" on clothing. I've never had anyone "make" me while in public. Most people, if they see the butt of it will assume it's a cell phone or whatever.
That's my review, shop around and see what you like. I would recommend any of Comp-Tac's products. Very nice, quality built.

I agree with Link80reid. I have a Minotaur M-Tac with my USP 40c and it is great. Com Tac is one of the best companies I have ever dealt with; their customer service is superb!
