Anyone know how much HK charges to install regular night sights on an HK USPc 45?

I did the search thing and read old posts about this, but no one mentioned a price.

Also, if I bought my own - anyone have a good place to send the slide to?

Roughly 200 I think, which takes care of shipping both ways plus parts. Call them for a quote, or ask in their official forums to get a better idea.

WOW, that is high. I was just going to mail the slide. Shipping for that is very low. Sending the entire gun is a bit much.

I have a pusher for the USP,.......
PM me, I can either install them for you or I will send you my pusher
for a security deposit. You pay for postage.

Ok, thanks. I'll let ya know.

I'm going to check with my local gunsmith, and I also PM's CCR Refinishing to see what they charge.

I may take you up on your kind offer over the coming weeks if that is OK.

I appreciate your offer too - but I am sure you understand... I am nervous a bit to send an expensive slide to someone who doesn't do commercial gunsmithing. I am sure you understand. It is no insult meant towards you.

I've never installed sights in my life. I'm afraid I'd screw it up :eek:

It's damn easy to do. . . even without a sight-pusher. I use a regular carpenter's hammer, vice, and piece of wood for a punch. ;)

If faawrenchbndr is willing to let you use his pusher, you're all set. Don't be scared, just be careful not to scratch up your slide with carelessness :)

Well I don't know about anyone else, But I would feel better about using a pusher myself. this way I could tweak the sights at will and not have to worry about damage. I love cheating the gunsmiths from their fee..... And I could help out Brother HKers too.....when I find them... When I say H&K, you wouldn't believe the looks I get. Don't care really, I love mine till I die or God takes it from me, whichever come first......:53:

Hey, where did you guys buy the night sights from? And is installing the sights yourself a good idea?
