I have a chance to get a brand new, just received from the distributor, USP 40c Stainless. The FFL gave me a price of $860. Given the limited availability of these, should I or shouldn't I? I already own two P30s and an HK45 but no USPs. What say you? Help me off the fence.

Would it help if a bunch of people here said, go for it?

My only contrast to the price is a USP 40c LEM I'm picking on Monday. It was right at $800 from Clyde's with their usual scope of supply. So for the difference between the LEM version and the non-LEM version in stainless, it sounds pretty good to me.

But then again, I'm new. What do I know?

What will it do for you that your current inventory will not?

What could you do with that money if you didn't spend it on another gun?

Everybody needs a stainless USP. But wouldn't you rather have a .45 stainless.

Buy it. You need one of every different type of gun HK makes. Actually two of each - one to shoot and one to keep pristine.

Buy two.

Hired GunWell of course, but they require rounds, and I'm fresh out of factory ammo and pistol primers. Can't shoot a paper weight.

My shop sells that exact gun for $1199. Buy it and then shoot it like you stole it!

Hired GunI would rather have one in 9mm. But, where I live, stainless USP's are so rare I will buy the first one I see.

Sweet. Congratulations. Hope you really like it. Mine came with 10 round mags. Just FYI the 12 round .40 mags for the P2000 also fit the USP Compact IIRC.
Enjoy!!

Thanks! It's in layaway so it will be a few weeks before I take possession. Can't wait!

Send me a PM and I'll tell you of a place that has both FS and Compact USPs in .40 - all stainless for sale.

I would have said do it. My first HK was a USPc .40 in stainless. I carry it everyday!
