Guys,
I was offered a job in Norwood MA, but would rather live in RI (MA sucks for firearms). Please let me know what I should consider re. firearms laws.

I've got my PA and Utah CCW permits, and many assault rifles / high cap mags, etc.

So, would I be hosing myself moving from W. PA to RI?

Thanks

CM

Hi, CM.
I might be moving to RI myself in the next couple of months. I am in NC now, which is fairly reasonable, and am concerned with what I read about gun laws, in RI, especially when CCW is concerned.
If you did move would appreaciate any tips or advice you could give me.
Best of luck.

Did not accept the gig. Ironically, up for another one in Woonsocket RI with CVS. Still haven't gotten the "scoop" re. what the laws are in RI.

Guys, can you help us please? What's the story re.
1. Mags
2. CCW (recognized recip. states?)
3. Any restrictions re. the firearms themselves?

Thanks for your time.

Decided (should have before) to checkout the NRA/ILA. Few helpful links.

In RI we can not have suppressors, SBRs, or pre 86 FA weapons. There are no restrictions on high cap mags for assault rifles or pistols. As far as CCW, the state's AG very hardly ever issues a permit to cary. If they do, t's restricted to work purposes only. you can apply to the local CLEO for a town issued permit under RI general law 11-47-11. the only problem with that is only approximately 20% of CLEOs will follow the law and issue a permit. You can find more good info for RI and MA at cralri.com
