I am looking at Vortex Muzzle Brake for HK USP 45 tactical --do they work or is it a scam? Can you tell the difference?

I don't mean to be rude, but there are better things to spend your money on.
Ammo comes first to my mind.

The barrel is threaded for a suppressor, not a muzzle brake.
Somebody saw those threads and said, Ummm?
I think I'll make some money?

The 45ACP does not recoil enough to require any type of muzzle brake.
Especially a big pistol like the USP Tactical. If recoil is a problem,
switch to the 9mm?

A muzzle brake may be necessary on large caliber rifles or on full
auto weapons, but not on a semi-auto 45 ACP pistol.

It's a waste of money. That's just my opinion.
I don't care for 90% of the "gadgets" on the market today.

Honestly , I don't think the vortex is a muzzle brake at all. It's a flash hider. At least in the AR world. I think they look good, better IMO than most other flash hiders.

second article from the top. That design definitely cannot work like anything but a flashider, no matter what they say/promise about it.

I had a Vortex on my USP tac, and I liked it. I found it to group a bit tighter with the vortex than without, but that's just me. No noticeable difference in recoil through.
