Will the usp fire without the mag? Never tried it but curious.

Some P2K and P2KSK are out there with magazine disconnects to keep them from firing without the mag. I do not know if this was ever offered on the USP/C or not but most do not have the MD. It is easy enough to test. Unload the pistol, make double sure nothing is in the chamber, remove the mag, cock the hammer, take off the safety, and pull the trigger. If the hammer falls there is no magazine disconnect.

The USPs will fire without a mag. The manual specifically states that removing the magazine does not make the weapon safe.

At least HK doesn't laser engrave a stupid warning like S&W does.

No mag... click, bang. I personally don't like the magazine disconnect and am glad my USPs aren't so afflicted.

I hear that. The M&P's are nice, but whats with the safety warning engraving. Maybe they should engrave on the side "Don't be stupid. Check your chamber" instead.
