Picked up a grade 'B' P7 and am wanting to get it refinished.
For those of you who have had a pistol refinished, what did you have done?
Besides getting it reblued, have thought about hard chrome or NP3.

I really like the pics I see of the ones that have been Hard Chromed. They look really nice.

I think np3 is more functional of a coating but hard chrome looks way better.

Only holsters we have for the P7s are leather, no kydex. What has good wear resistance?

Either np3 or hard chrome will give you more wear resistance than the factory finish, but hard chrome will technically hold up better due to its hardness. That being said, I cant recall anyone complaining of finish wear with np3 either.

I prefer the look of NP3 over HC. Here's some pics, but its not easy to take pics of NP3 and show its true color.

While I like NP3 I still like a blued (or in the case of my PSP- plum) finish.

Either Hard Chrome or NP3 will suit you well.

I prefer hard chrome for looks and NP3 for its built in jubricity.

I think the perfect combo would be to chrome your slide, frame and cocking handle... and have everything else (except springs) NP3'd.
