Let's see some well worn HK Pics.
Holster wear, character scares, you name it.
Also include round counts.
This should be fun!
Nothing like a gun with Character.

HKs are so durable that they can take a ton of use and show very little wear. As for character... the characters are generally the ones behind the pistols. ;-)

It's hard to wear 'em out if they spend their whole lives in the safe. ;)

The lack of answers sure tells a story doesn't it?
almost 6,000 rounds through my .45 and you really can't tell.

Round count, what's that? Too hard to count into the 5 digits.

Yes, used with STI modified .45acp magazine. :)

not to get too far off topic but, Scooter who did your jet funnel work on your .45? and how many more rounds do you get out of it? oh, and do the modified mages lock the slide open when she runs dry?

As far as wear and tear on my HK's. the only one that shows where is my 94 (DOJ gun), and that wear was in place whe I bought her, and it is very little. I'd estimate she is at 90%--95%.....

id like to do that to my .45 tactical...lets get a step by step for the proceedure maybe?

Have standard 10 round mag in there too. Did the work myself. The STI mag I have will hold about 14-15 and it will lock back, but it's not something I would want to do again, way too much work.

But...but.... (cue California jokes)...

It can be done but it ain't easy. You have to either shorten the frame or modify the base plate and add a spacer to the lanyard loop (or do what Scooter posted). With enough time and will power you can do just about anything. I just added a JF to one of my .45 Compacts and while it works with my 12 round Compact .45 mag (two 8 rounds welded together) it won't have any company until the HK45 10 round mags come out. Then I will get silly again!

My gun would have wear if we could legally carry it here. Unfortunately the stupid state laws do not allow us to carry.

Mine's got character scratches on the frame, but I haven't been able to get the slide to show wear.

mine looks like hell . i take good care of it but work is really hard on the finish. lots of metal where i work and your always scraping/rubbing up against something. im always out in the elements and im really glad i got a usp , you can trust it to perform. my job eats handgun finishes btw , you should see everybody elses.

Hey, what's up with the grip panel on that P7??? Is that made of clear plastic/acrylic ??? The rest of your pistol looks new compared to mine. It's not the number of rounds. It's the mileage.

Greg

How many rounds have you gotten through your P2000 so far?

You need to bring back your Break My P2000 Thread!

I am right on the verge of it. My Glock 19 had two jams and was tossing brass in my face tonight. I miss the simple virtues of the P2000. :79:

someone on here has a USP with over 100k into it according to a thread that was posted in handgun talk not long ago...from what he said, there isnt much wear, and other than springs no replacement parts if I recall correctly.

Well, this is my worn HK. Ok ok, I was not the one who wore the finish on it but it's worn none the less. I rather like the look.

14,000 rounds through my USP9 and it still barely shows. Bit of a smudge on either side where it rests in the Kydex holster (for IPSC), but hardly noticable. Internals still look good too, minus the recoil guide rod - which is now mostly silver. Extracter is slowly turning colors on the corners, but its not purple yet :D No recent pics of it, but I'm sure you couldnt tell the difference between 14000 and 1000 rounds without an up-close look.

Maybe tonight I'll get some pics of the mags that've acquired many dings and scratches from continuous drops in mud and rocks.

Scooter: Did your USP come with the red highlights or did you do it yourself/have it done?

You can just use China paint markers, or crayons to fill in the letters ;)

Ahh what the heck. I spose i'll play too. Kinda hard to see it, but its got some rough handling wear :D

From what I remember, Mr. Mojorising has the most worn USP I've seen to date. That gun looked like it had some stories to tell.
