I am thinking of buying a P7M13. I don't know anyone that has one, and wanted to find out what you guys liked and disliked about the pistol. Is it very accurate, like the USP Tacs, and Expert etc. ? I wanted to use it on my CCW permit and wanted to know if it is confortable to draw quickly from a holster with the front grip safety? All feedback from those that have hands on experience would be appreciated. Thanks.

It's like a cute chick with a real fat ass. The P7M8/PSP isn't as fancy but it's trim and has a much better personality.

I can only speak about the P7M8 because I have not shot a P7M13. The P7M8 is easily the most accurate 9mm pistol out there. Most of the reason behind this is because the barrel is fixed to the frame and does not move. I have heard the M8 is a little easier to carry too because it is has a slimmer handle with single stack mag, unlike the chunkier double stack mag on the M13.

As much as I loved my P7M13 she was just too fat for my liking :D. The grip was too wide which made shooting not as comfortable as the P7M8 but then again I have small hands. Why not look into getting a P7M8? It is less expensive and will be better for CCW.

I have large hands, and still had this same opinion.. I wanted a M13 for capacity and all the love of a P7. Noone around me had one, so I ended up buying one...

Shoots great, but has the ergonomics of a 2x4... although it will still shoot your eye out, I will take the PSP/M8 for carry anyday

As I have large hands, my experience is just the opposite from those expressed thus far in this thread. I first owned an M8 from a gun show back in 1997 or so and I fell in love with it. It was too narrow for my hand and I began the search for an M13. Once acquired, it was love at first sight/feel. I've got two M13's and one M10 now and only one M8. The wider/fatter model just fits me like a glove.

The P7M13 feeds ammunition more reliably than the P7M8.
The P7M8 ejects very high pressure rounds more reliably than the P7M13.

Huh? Do you actually own both? I have 2 M13's and one M8. They eat anything I run through them. I will admit I've never run any +P+ if that's what you mean by very high pressure rounds, but I've never had a single feed failure using any ammo on either model.

But to the OP topic - the M13 grip is only about .2" wider. It is noticeably fatter than the M8, but it feels identical to other handguns I have of various brands.

I see P7M13 Chantilly and other P7M13 Sterling pistols for sale. What is the difference between these two? Is one worth more than the other?

some feel the Chantilly guns are of better quality, me I got both and would say there is no difference i have noticed, but yes you may find sellers asking more for the Chantilly(M7 or M8)

Is there a reason that the HK P7M13's come in either Chantilly and Sterling?

age of the gun, Chantilly's were earlier guns, Sterling latter, I forget the dates, really just a matter of when HK moved their US headquarters......the guns were all made in Germany....so Chantilly or Sterling marked really should be no different

Is there a reason that the HK P7M13's come in either Chantilly and Sterling?

For CCW the M8 is much easier to carry.
