Two USP questions...

1) Do you think that with the HK45 and P30 introductions that the USP series will be going away any time soon?

2) Can you use the extended base plate on full size USP 9 magazines?

With the success of the USP line I cannot imagine that they would discontinue any time soon. But...who knows.

My 2c... Those of us in California still only have the USP and P2000 lines so for at least a couple of years we will still be buying those. And I imagine there are large contract buyers who may not be willing to make large purchases of "unproven" guns, but will wait until they have been in the field for a couple of years to see if they hold up. Some people love change, others are slow to accept it, while some just go along for the ride. Anyway, my guess is that there will be a market for quite some time.

How long has the P7 been going away, last production run, never to be made again?

It'll be around for many more years to come, hell you can still get parts, mags and service from HK for the P9.

I hope not. The USP in general is my all time favorite handgun, and I've owned most of the major brands out there at one time or another.
