I'll start it off.

I just received my HK45 yesterday.

I did a comparison to my P30 (along with more pics) in this thread: http://hkpro.com/forum/showthread.php?t=71028

I don't really get impressed with many newly released pistols.

However, you really need to put these on the front of your ..............

Set them very carefully on the car =), she is the 335i twin turbo model, sport coupe, not a roadster. And normally I do keep her fairly fully loaded, one in the door, glove compartment, behind the seat, and a rife in the trunk... mainly incase I want to go to the range, but I have had more than one stranger run up to this car in the not so great parts of town...

Sorry about this, I really didn't mean to hijack the thread that way, we should get more HK45 pics in here... just had that pic handy and i still think it is pretty unique. =)

There has to be a name for the HKDisorder where lots of us would just assume look at pictures of guns that we already know what they look like and may even have one of our own, rather than look at the naked ladies... Oh at least my wife is happy I don't go to strip clubs, but I am on HKPro too much. =)

I must say, the HK45 really does look good from some of these angles.

I'd still have the grip stippled (keeping the palm swells, I'm undecided on the finger grooves at this point in time but may still have those removed) and the magazines recontoured at the front lip and rounded off.

Otherwise, very nice overall.

http://www.parkcitiestactical.com/album/00001588/HK45_f.jpg

I think it's a great pistol. It's very mild shooting and the grip is probably the most comfortable of any pistol HK has ever turned out. The slide contour is a big step forward too. as it really slims down the overall profile and makes for a very refined package.

Major difference is one is a .45acp and the other 9mm. The P30 is smaller, comes with interchangeable grip panels and comes with a different decocking system and has no safety.

Neither is collectible.

I think the interchangeable grip panels would have added too much bulk to the grip thus taking away its slim feel. Somebody did a poor copy and paste job in the HK45 manual. There's a lot of misinformation in there.
