Anyone heard anything on this possibility? if so, any estimate on actual availability in the US?
thanks

The P30 is a compact already isn't it? The P30L is the standard full-size pistol. I haven't seen any mention of an even smaller P2000SK type version.

I doubt they will offer such a beast, unless some 'power broker' in the marketing department sees a niche where some money could be had and steamrollers it past upper management...

The P30 (IMO) is about a perfect size for a 15+1 light-weight 9mm weapon. A compact version would be as ill-advised as would be a full-sized P30 model in 9mm... :47:

thanksI'd see my P2000 as a compact P30.

A P30sk would be very nice but I doubt it will happen anytime soon. The P2Ksk is available and just as good :D.

If the P30 was produced before the P2000... when the P2000 eventually came online people would naturally assume it is the compact version of the P30 without any prompting at all.

Spidey grip on HK45.... P2000 grip on HK45c and frame mounted safety both

Spidey grip on P30..... P2000 grip on P2000 :o and slide mounted decocker for both

They just made the P30 compact before the P30 and they made the full size HK45 before the HK45c.

I have a headache now but somewhere along the way it seemed to make sense. :830:

Looking at a P30 for sale, I was wondering why the magazines have a "C" stamped on them.

I wouldn't count on it anytime soon. In fact I wouldn't count on it.

I think the P30 will replace the P2000 in the 3 calibers.
The P2000sk has such a small grip, a setup like the P30 would be unpracticle.
So I think the P2000sk will stay, specially since the magazines of the P30 fit in it!

I think they should have called the P30 the P2000FS (p2000 full size) and kept the P2000 name. Use the same grip, magazine interchangeability, and slide holster compatability.

Just my opinion.

...I think they should have called the P30 the P2000FS (p2000 full size) and kept the P2000 name...

I think because the P30 was aimed towards the German Police, so they chose not to call it P2000something.
Since P1 to P10 are taken, they named it P30.
