I never even fired a round before sending the barrel in, so I can't say. It will probably only have a handful of rounds unsupressed in it's lifetime.

Adco generally charges $125.00 for barrel extensions. It's a nice alternative for pistols where no aftermarket barrels are available.

That is still awesome. I wish we could own suppresors here.

Sweet.
I have a 9mm Tactical USP (full size, factory threaded barrel) for use with my suppressor now. I'd love to get a P30 to shoot suppressed, but will wait for a compact tactical model with factory threads.
Picures of Hk's new line with suppressors look amazing!

I hope they do that for you, but I wouldn't hold my breath.
I would love to have a factory metric barrel, but I know it won't happen for the P30 and I doubt Jarvis or Bar-Sto will even make a barrel for my gun.

How long is that barrel now with this extension?
What was the turnaround time?
Does anyone have a link to "Adco" site?

Thanks for the link!!!!!!
By how much did this lengthen the barrel? How long is it now?
Very pretty... I'm thinking about it now too ;)

They did a very clean job.
Can you take a picture of the whole firearm without the suppressor from the side, I'd like to see how the barrel is proportioned to the rest of the gun.
Thanks!

The extension protrudes from the slide a total of 21mm. The barrel portion is 8mm from the slide to the shoulder. It pretty much looks like every other aftermarket barrel with American threads, but I would still like to have the barrel portion shortened by about 4mm. The metric threaded barrels keep the can closer to the slide, which I like. I'll probably just keep it the way it is for now, after all, I feel lucky just to have a threaded P30!

That looks great.
I was wondering about a threaded barrel for my P30 as well.
Thanks for the info and pics.
Is there any kind of thread protector you can get for it?

Now you need a P30L with threaded barrel! The possibilities! Oh well, looks great! Wish i had one. Can you show pics from inside that extension? I'm wondering about rifling, or if it is machined wider so it doesn't touch the bullet.

That is pretty nice.
But not as cool as my extended Non-Threaded barrel on my P30. ;)

Would it be possible to take the P30L barrel and have that threaded then fit it to a P30? Will HK sell the barrel by itself?

Hk told me that the P30L barrel won't fit in the std. P30, but that doesn't mean it's true.
To answer your earlier question, the adapters are not rifled, but the i.d. is big enough the bullets don't hit.

Jumping in on this...
Can there be any negative effect from cutting down the factory barrel & adding an after market adapter?
Can that affect accurracy or anything?
PAP30
02-25-2009, 02:50 PM
There are no negative effects to adding an adapter, other than maybe aesthetics. I never shoot the gun without a can, so the barrel sticking out doesn't bother me. I guess you could ask to have a second adapter made without threads so it would look like a std. barrel.

I called HK about buying a P30L barrel for that reason and was told that they never had P30L barrels for sale, and the they have no idea if they would ever get them.

Well that isn't very good for us p30L owners.

if yo uwant a threaded P30, you need a P30L barrell, and have it threaded...
trick seems to be getting the P30L barrell... I seem to remember seeing one for about $220...

Just like the walther P22.... undo the end cap, add threaded adapter.

Could you be more specific as to who was able to do this? I was told by HK that the P30L barrel does not work in the std. P30. I would rather have LH metric thread on my P30 than the 1/2x28 that Adco did for me.
