Question: Form 4 for an AOW weapon in MI

I purchased an MP5k from COHARIE ARMS (CA94K) which is an AOW NFA item. I have to get a Form 4 filled out for the transfer and just wanted to hear from any of you here in Michigan that may have run across this and done it in the past. What was the experience like? Any problems getting the chief LEO to sign the document? More particularly, any of you in the Livingston county area.

I've done one Form 4 for a SBR in VA, but none in MI. While I obviously can't speculate on the MI side of things, but I can say that you're going to have to be patient with BATF though. It took over two months for my approved Form 4 to come back. There weren't any problems, just slow.

It took about 10 weeks for a transfer to my dealer!!

it took me about 4 months from start to finish. ~2months from the BATF.
