View Full Version : Best Thigh Rig for USP?

Hi all, I just recently purchased a NIB USP 9 w/4 hi-cap mags, paid $600 for the package, seemed like a good deal (I'm guessing here) so I couldn't really say no. I had to have something to replace my PSP that I sold years ago... still hitting myself on the head for doing that, lol. Anyway, I'm trying to find a good thigh rig for the USP. I don't intend to ever use this weapon in a concealed fashion, and I've always found thigh rigs to be a natural and easy draw for me, so that's where I'm looking. My previous experiences with thigh rigs have shown that they tend to 'roll' around the front of the leg if you run. Even walking can produce this effect. So what is a good rig that doesn't do this? Also, I don't care for all that whiz-bang quadruple-lock retention system stuff, it's too clumsy for me. I'm seeing lots of offerings out there, but I'm unsure as to what would be the best rig for me. Cost isn't a real issue, and I'm even willing to consider custom work if it doesn't involve a 2 year waiting period, lol.

Thoughts?

Safariland 6004/5.

I have a 6005 for my Mark23, its an awesome holster! Plus if you ever want to, you can get a hip-rig for it to use with competitions etc...

Check out the WTS (want to sell) boards for BIGDUKE60's Safariland thread. He has some great deals going on!

Heres the link, dunno if he's still doing it.

I like the looks of that one, especially the plate that goes around your leg, looks like it would keep the holster in place.
