Call CDNN and ask to get on their list (800-588-9500).

They may be able to get some (according to Cody).....

Yeah I have heard a rumor about the 9mm Experts/Elites being released again this year. Not sure if it is true or not but it would sure be nice to be able to pick up a NIB 9mm Expert.

I've got a NIB 9mm Expert and a used one with JF kit.

I would like to sell the new one. What's it worth?

Is there a company who makes adjustable night sights to fit a USP with non adjustable sights?

Someone please correct me if I am wrong, but I believe the slots and dovetails on normal USP models versus Tactical, Expert, and Elite models are the same. Therefore, one would assume that any adustable night sights (say the Meprolight) would fit both Tacticals, Expert, Elite, and normal USPs? I believe this is why enthusiasts are able to build Match clones or their own Tacticals out of normal USP models.

Nope .. the Expert has the slide milled down a bit for the rear sight to sit deeper .. thus you need different sights for it or it may not fit.

I prefer the Expert, Elite has the advantage of a longer barrel, slide and site radius. It does look slightly goofy. But if your using it for match work then the elite would have a slight advantage.

I understand about the milled recess on the slide, but I believe the rear adjustable sight is the same across the board for the Tactical, Expert, Elite. With that in mind, the dovetail cutout is possibly the same and would work on a normal USP.

I'll call up Meprolight and double check. They list only one model night sight for full USP's. I'm sure there would be some filing of the sight to get the correct fit.

I had heard in Dec that HK was bringing in 9mm experts also. Hearing through my gunshop, that heard from a distributor.

On 1/10/08 HK customer service said QUOTE “There are no Plans to import the USP 9mm Expert.”

Thats the truth, That gun shot exellently, accurate and the trigger was decent. It would have been a perfect PPC gun. I was very impressed with the Elite

You can still get one Mark. I just picked mine up in December, and for a decent price at $950.

C'mon, you know you want one... ;)

Could they give you at least an idea on pricing? Specifically the Expert?

They wouldn't have any idea on pricing until they recieve the guns.

If you have a matching front and rear sight, you can switch them EXCEPT for the EXPERT as previously mentioned. The rear sight on the ERXPERT is not special....it's the front sight..it's shorter than every other one. I've been playing with these for a while as I use an EXPERT for carry and want fiber optics. As some others have said in prior posts that you can jack up the rear on some sets (I did on PSIs) and it works. I haven't found a shorter fiber optic front sight yet. There are lots of rear sights that will work but not the fronts. I bought a set of Meprolite NS that were supposed to work, but i couldn't get the thing on paper. Then I put the factory front sight back on, back on target. None of the other USPs seem to have this problem .

You guys will have to forgive my ignorance, but if you remove the JF from the Expert will it accept standard USP magazines?

Also, how readily available are the 18rd mags for the Expert?

I'm really hoping HK does bring a shipment of Experts and Elites over. I was waiting for the P30L, but no one knows for sure when, and even if, it will make it here. If I could pick up an Expert, waiting for a P30L wouldn't be so bad.

Yes the Elite/Expert will accept the 10round and 15 round mags.

They are still out there and easy to find. They are always poping up for sale in the classifieds section.

As for the Expert front NS...Ameriglo makes a tritrium sight specifically for the Expert.

I've read here about the Expert in .45acp and 9mm...anyone have any experience with the Expert in .40? I reload .40, have a .40S&W, a Para 16.40, and a Glock 23. Lookin' for an Expert in .40 (or may cave in to peer pressure and buy an STI..)
