In the past few days i've purchased a new HK45, and just now i purchased a USP .45 Tactical. Wasnt looking to purchase the Tact. after picking up the HK45, it felt like i was sort of digressing, however; it was an offer i couldn't turn down.

This sucks for my bank account, but it sure is fun ;)

It's a terrible disease and there is no cure. You can stave off symptoms by purchasing more HKs but soon you will havce two, three, four of each weapon...

It's like the crack of the firearm industry....

They sell you your first at a really good price, and you REALLY like it.

You tell your friends and they try it... they really like it too.

The gun shop tells you that if you bring some friends in to buy some, they'll cut you another deal on the next one you buy for yourself... so you do.

Eventually, you can't have enough, you need more. But your friends are all out of money so you end up paying market price but by then, you don't care, you just need more.

You start to loose sleep thinking about when you can get your next HK. You start getting side-jobs just to get some extra spending cash. But your real job suffers as a result. But again, you don't care because all you see is the next HK purchase.

Eventually, you start wandering gun shows searching, begging for anything HK that you can afford. You even try to sneak-in cause you know that $10 admission fee could be the difference between you and that next HK.

Your friend's wives start calling to yell at you for getting them hooked. Come to find out that they ran out of cash because they were visting your gun shop behind you back and worked out their own deal!

So you and all your friends are in the same boat, but you smile as you realize that you're not alone :)

i know the feeling. i just got my first hk (p 30) it sweet. its my first pistol and im not that great of a shot, but it will come in time. but now i want a p7m8 so bad. my local gun store has a used one for $1100. the gun looks brand new but still seems high. I also can get a brand new one for $1500. I'm thinking about getting the new one for the warranty. any thoughts? hello to every one, i have been lurking for a while.

Symptoms of the dreaded HK fever. Have you ever used one of
the following excuses?

1. The last HK I bought was the last one I'm buying.
2. I only need one more HK pistol.
3. I need each model HK pistol in all calibers to have a complete set.
4. I need a USP 45ACP to go with my USP 9mm and .40S+W.
5. I need more than one of each model. For spare parts, of course.
6. HK just released a new pistol and it's better than all the others.
7. They will only increase in value, so I can easily get my money back.
8. There are worse things I could spend my money on.

When the HK fever becomes unbearable, I just pick one (or more) from
the above list and head for the gunstore.

Let me know if there is ever a cure found. Right now the only treatment I have found sucks for my bank account.

Worst is when you buy the fullsize model and then you just have to have the compact... or vice versa. :)

I'm too scared to step into the world of HK long guns... that'll be the end for me...

started with a USPc, then 3 p2k's then the P30...

The amount of hand guns on the list is ridiculous:\
HK4 (the box set with all 4 cal of course),
VP70 (with shoulder stock)
P9, P7M8, P7M10,
The Elite, Expert the MK23...

Wow, I really need a second and third job.

HK needs to stop putting out new models so I have time to catch up :D

I really can't wait to get into LE. It'll make the sickness more affordable. Not that I am thinking discounted pricing (I can care less), but it's more money than working in a mailroom :)

I've been eating ramon noodles saving up for a HK45c. It all started with the USPc, then the P2000, then P7 PSP, then P2000SK, then P7M8, then P30...now the HK45c...what's next? :)
