I went to the gunshow today and sold a couple of Sigs. I happened to spot a P7M13 Chantilly. It was zip-tied and the lighting wasn't the best, but I decided to buy it. I knew it was a very nice piece. However, after getting it home, cutting the zip-tie and looking it over, I believe it is probably unfired! The two magazines appear never to have been loaded and the scraper and brush are un-used. There is no wear anywhere. Has the matching numbered box, manual and warranty card. But, this puts me in a spot. I don't want a safe queen to look at. I always take very good care of my guns, but I shoot them. so, give me your thoughts. Should I keep this one and shoot it, or trade it to someone who will keep it in its unfired? state?

I would shoot it, but that's just me. I feel guns were meant to be shot (wierd logic huh?) and I personally will never own a safe queen no matter how nice the piece looks.
Oh and may I ask how much you bought it for?

Shoot it. Take good care of it, keep it clean. Besides, there is no such thing as an "unfired" HK P7. The factory test fires all of them. I bought a cheap P7M8 a while back that was very dirty when I got it. I totally stripped it and cleaned it up and it's very difficult to tell if it had ever been shot at all.

Shoot it! ;)
Guns are meant to be fired, and every gun that goes unfired as a "safe queen" is like a kitten that has to be put down!

Actually, Ive got a Grade A PSP. I wanted an example of the P7M series. I haven't seen an as new P7 of any sort around here in years until today, so I bought it.

you could sell it for a ton and buy two lightly used ones.

Shoot and enjoy it. Even if you put a few hundred rounds through the gun you will still be able to sell it for what you paid for it or more. One of the great things about the P7 models is that they keep their value VERY well.
