I love P7's. Hopefully one day I will find a M8 for the right price. I just prefer the mag release and having the heat sheild over the PSP. Although I imagine the PSP is a little nicer to carry just because the mag. release is on the heel instead of on the side.
Doesn't matter if it's only a single stack 8rnd. 9mm to me, not when all 8 rounds are head shots. :D

I have a PSP 7 and I absolutely LOVE IT. I also have a Sig P229 (.40) and that's a great gun. I'll never get rid of it but for me, the PSP is a more comfortable instrument to wear IWB (I have a Black Hawk #6 fabric holster) when wearing a suit.
The lack of a heat shield I suppose could be a challenge if you're shooting a lot of rounds through it in one session but I've been OK because I interchange between my P229 and the P30 that we have so, it hasn't become too hot under those circumstances.
Initially, I found the European style release to be a little awkward, especially as I was used to the Sig release but, I just kept practicing at home with it and I'm more than OK with it now. I suppose that if you need to change magazines quickly, it could/would be slower than a normal "Amercan" (sorry if that's not the right descriptor) release but then again, if you practice properly, 8 should be more than enough - or so I'm told!
I think the criticisms of the PSP are genuine but I also feel that they need to be put into perspective. I'm more than OK to have these little "negatives" but, I worked on all of them, put them into perspective and I will never sell this gun and I will always have it close to me. There's just something about it (and the great reviews it receives) that for me, makes the "niggles" inconsequential.
My suggestion: If you can try before you buy, do so but, make sure you're ready to hand over the money because once I shot mine, it was exactly that - mine!
Best to you all.

Absolutely beautiful pistol.... The result of the Tripp refinishing and the fantastic Nill grips is amazing.

Here's a link to Tripp's price list:

Tripp's prices are very reasonble, the work is flawless, and the turnaround time is surprisingly short -- two weeks in my case. Tripp Research is a pleasure to do business with and I recommend the company highly!

It's near perfect on mine...I'd rate it at about 97%, but I haven't seen a Grade A one to compare it to.

Is yours a PSP? I am looking at the picture in the CDNN catalog and the one in here doesn't look quite as long as your. Maybe it is just the picture? I like how yours looks better!

Feels great in my small hands and hits what I point it at. This gun instantly makes me a much better shot than what I am. You'll fall in love with the PSP.

My Dealer didn't allow me to disclose this as a "C" Grade at the time, but it is in fact a "C" that was more than likely mislabeled by HK-USA. I originally planned on a refinish, but decided to wait another 20 years :42:

Yes, this is a normal PSP. It's a later date, May of '95, that I bought before the Saxony trades showed up. I suspect CDNN adjusts the images to fit the ad somewhat.

Mr. Havoc- Does your dealer have any more of those "C" grades left? And if he does how do I get ahold of him?

negative. All the "C" grades sold out very quickly when they hit the shelves. Once those first batch of "C" guns were gone, no more came in. There was only As and Bs to be had.

This one is mine. I am so glad I came across this deal. I usually agonize over pistol purchases. This deal came up and I immediately jumped on it. This is a Grade B.
