hey all..thanks for those who replied to my previous thread "Aargh I'm shooting my G23 as good as my HK!".
Had a speed-on-steel match tonight at the range. Thought I'd run the HK USPf40. It's used, but me personally..I've only run 150 rounds through it so far. Bottom line...shooting it better. We ran 2 stations with 5 plates (of varying size) at each station. You had 4 runs at each station with the worst time being dropped.
On the first station...horrible with an average time of 51 sec's for the 20 plates. I had a heck of a time with the front sight dipping and hitting low.
on the second station...average time of 30 sec's for the 20 plates. Not too bad, but over my best times (shot with a Kimber .45).
Overall, not that bad for the real first time out with the gun. I was the ONLY one shooting an HK and one of the few shooting .40 S&W. Others were mostly running 1911 guns chambered in 9mm, some were shooting 38 Super's (including a few Open guns) and many were shooting custom .45's.
I don't know, call me crazy, but I like running with a combat weapon...can't see myself getting in a situation where I'd need to use a $2000 competition gun!
So...next stop...my reloading bench and then to the range for a few thousand in practice!!
Thanks everyone for their input on my previous threads....
