Well, finally put a 45c on layaway today. Now to start looking for a good IWB holster. Anyone make a good leather IWB holster for it yet or will it fit any other model's holsters?

try Milt Sparks. They make the best IWB holsters IMHO. :44:

I tried my HK45 Compact with a Blackhawk leather IWB holster for the Sig 229/228 today.
http://www.blackhawk.com/product1.asp?P=4204&C=C0891
IT, does NOT fit. The trigger guard on the HK45C is too large.
My GUESS is that the HK45C will slide into this particular Blackhawk IWB holster for a P2000. However, my IWB for my P2000 is on order and Blackhawk has been trippin for a month and dealers are having trouble getting orders filled as far as I know...
My HK45 fits well into a USP45C Sparks Versa Max2, so I bet the HK45C will also. If not, you will have a wait on your hands. Most quality leather makers have a decent back log. I believe Sparks is at 16 weeks, Alessi is at 6 months... You can try Andrews Leather also. He makes good stuff, just havent called him yet.
+1, Milt Sparks VM2 for the USP45C is said to be a nice fit. Prepare for a 26+ week wait. My last order took 30 weeks. It was place on March 30, 2007.

Thanks guys....I actually carry my USPc 9mm in a Milt Sparks VMII, didn't think it would fit since the USPc is thicker. Guess I'll just have to try it when I get the 45c off layaway.

Im gonna give Cross Breed a try. I spoke to someone there who said the mold for the P2K should work with a little tweaking for the rail.

Spoke directly with Randy today, he confirmed there is no way in the foreseeable future that there will be an M.T.A.C. for the HK45c. I went ahead and ordered the C.T.A.C., my first kydex holster.

Well, I picked up my 45c today, took my P2000SK out of my Milt Sparks VMII (made for the USPc) and slid the 45c right in. I didn't think it'd work cause the different trigger guards but it works. :D

There is a holster maker 2 miles from my house. Ted Blocker. I went over to his showroom/shop and they tried it in a number of holsters for fit and said they could make one for it. Now I gotta wait three to four weeks. But at least I will be able to go back to pick it up and try it out for fit. I ordered an high ride OWB for it. I might also go later with a VMII. Luckly, Lightning Arms who stocks them is two miles in the other direction from me. Nice to be able to try em first.

My Galco OWB holster for the P2000SK is also pretty damn close to a perfect fit for my HK45c. Since I've carried the P2000SK so long, the leather may be soft enough to mold to the HK45c easily, and I just couldn't wait for someone to design and bring to market a brand new one. I prefer leather to Kydex, also, so this gets the job done until a leather rig specifically for the HK45c is available.

Lucky you, I wish a quality holster maker lived two miles from my house. I'ld walk in nice weather.

So, if I buy a Milt Sparks VM2 made for a USPc it should work with my HK45c? Is it like a match made in heaven or is it just an ok fit?
Would love some advice.
Thanks!

If you dont want to wait on leather or need something in the mean time I will throw another nod out there to the Com-Tac CTAC. Very nice holster indeed. Fairly comfortable for a kydex model as well, and great adjustability. I love mine so far.

I have the comp-tac now, but it sits a little low for me so I find myself just using my 10 dollar uncle mike's. My comp-tac is for an full size HK45 though so I am not sure if the one for the HK45c is any different, but when I called and talked to them the guy told me the one for the HK45 and HK45c are the same.
That is why I am looking at the Milt Sparks for the UPSc. I found one for sale on the boards, but didn't know how well it fits the HK45c.

I have a 45c and ordered a com-tac ctac for it because I have their holsters for several guns. Let me say that I sing com-tac praises on several web sites because of the quality, comfort, and concealability and will continue these praises in the future. For whatever reason, for me the one for the 45c, just does not conceal the gun as well as I am use to. I have spent several hours trying mutiple heights and positions, and no matter what I do the grip of the gun prints. The best position I have found, is approximately the 5:30 position, but this puts the gun in a difficult position to retrieve quickly. I have a glock 30 and an mtac holster, and while the glock is thicker than the 45c, it totally disappears under a shirt. Just my opinon.

My first holster for my 45c is the ComTac Paddle. I was able to acquire one within 2 weeks. The tension screws work really good.
I use it for home and range use. Will later decide on a leather one.
