Just picked up 2 Grade B P7 PSP from CDNN. I notice some differences b/t them.

"Made in W-Germany" With date code (SN: 67xxx) vs, "Made in Germany" No date code (SN: 38xxx)

The grip is thicker (bulkier - right grip) with the higher SN (W-Germany).

Higher SN (W-Germany) comes in the Plastic box vs. Lower SN (Germany) comes in the cardboard box.

Can any expert please explain the reason(s) behind these differences? Any pros/cons b/t "Made in Germany" vs. "Make in W-Germany"?

Thanks

It is just different markings at the time they were made.

Some agencies requested the "contoured" grip, some liked the "flat" grip.

Nothing to worry about.

Congrats on the two P7's

A good side by side comparison of the two grip styles. Looks like two very nice pistols...congrats.

If you want the grips the same on both pistols, I'll bet you can find someone to swap with you on the "unwanted" version, here or at the cult. Personally, if these are shooters/primary/backup carry pieces, I would want them to be the same as each other. My choice is the flat grip, but many prefer the "bulge." The wooden Nill grips you see from time to time are similar to the bulging grips you have.
