I have a .45 Tactical, and a .45 USP full sized there are 2 main differences on the actual frames of the guns.
1. Towards the bottom of the grip on my USPF it says USP on the frame on both sides.
1. However on my USP tactical same spot says USP on the left side, but on the right side it says US Pat.5.309815
Did they change the frames, change something to warrant a patent? USPf is black, and Tactical is Desert Tan, but thats the only difference I know of.
2. USPf in front of the trigger guard on the metal plate that has the serial number it says HKI-Trussville AL, and right under that it has the serial number 25-XXXXXX, but it is all on the metal plate.
2. Now on my USP Tactical in the same spot it says Heckler & Koch, Inc, but it is stamped in the composite, and right under that is the metal plate with the serial number 25-XXXXXX, and under that again stamped in the composite is Sterling, VA
Is it common for the to change how they do the metal plate? Is one of the locations better than the other?
Thanks,
Thomas
