I just picked up a new HK45 yesterday.
I bought it from CDNN and they transfered it to my FFL.
The HK warranty card says that you must send them proof of purchase location and purchase date, with either a copy of the store sales receipt or a copy of the BATF form 4473.
The sales receipt from my FFL shows only the $25 transfer fee. Will that matter? Or did you send in the BATF form?
Also, if you bought something from CDNN, did you request a receipt from them other than the credit card receipt?

To be honest, you don't need to even send in the warranty card. And keeping it will make it a sweeter deal in case you ever sell the pistol later. HK is not very picky when it comes to warranty claims. They know a warranty claim when they see one and don't spend much time checking out cards. A lot of people with second hand guns get warranty work from HK when it is a genuine warranty claim.
IMO, don't worry about it. But if you want to send it in anyway, get the transferrer to copy your 4473 (there is no law against doing that and if he says otherwise he is full of beans) and send in a copy of the credit card slip from CDNN. That will be enough, that I fee quite certain about.

Thanks. Maybe I won't even bother sending it in. I could always send it in at the time I needed warranty work, if they would happen to question anything. There's no time restriction on when you need to send in the card is there?
You should have a receipt in your box from CDNN. I have one with each gun that I've purchased. I didn't have to ask. If they forgot I'm sure they'll fax you one.
I've never sent in a warranty card. I have wondered if doing so would get you on a catalog mailing list or something.

I was just thinking about this. I just recently heard about the HK lifetime warranty.
I loose reciepts all the time. And I'm such a procrastinator that I never send in warranty cards.
I bought my first USP in 2000; I never sent in the warranty card, I'm sure. And I just bought a used USP, so I thought I'd be SOL if it ever breaks (it is a .40, and on another forum it was noted that the majority of USP KBs are with the .40s).

. . . I just bought a used USP, so I thought I'd be SOL if it ever breaks (it is a .40, and on another forum it was noted that the majority of USP KBs are with the .40s).
I believe that the majority of pistol KBs period are from .40s, regardless of brand of gun.
The .40 S&W is a relatively high-pressure round. If you are reloading them, it is easy to make a mistake, and it is a very unforgiving round if you happen to load it a little too hot. Also, even with factory ammo, if you rechamber it more than twice, overpressure from bullet setback is a real risk since its case volume leaves little margin for error (unlike say, a .45).
A properly maintained USP using good ammo manufactured to operate within the parameters set by S.A.A.M.I. is EXTREMELY unlikely to ever have a KB thanks to it's fully supported chamber. The Glock (and some others) can be lacking in that department. Now, a squib is a different story altogether. . . If a squib load causes you to have a round jammed in the bore, and you didn't notice before firing the next shot, you will destroy the barrel of a USP, or any other gun pretty quick. :)

I think the warranty card stated with in 30 days of purchase to mail it in. I requested a receipt from the dealer, made a copy and mailed it in. I wanted to be reassured if there was ever a problem it would be covered. I am glad to hear that HK will service their products with out question. Most companies will insist on receipt and warranty cards. People lose their receipts and companies know that. I wonder if they play on that or not. Beretta wanted the receipt and they did not care if the warranty card was mailed in. Even if the card was on file they still wanted the original receipt.
