Did anyone else notice on page 2 of the HK 2008 Catalog, the HK45 slide is marked HK45 US (AG date code), and the caption below reads "The HK45 is the first Heckler & Koch model to be manufactured in the new American factory opening in Newington, New Hampshire in 2008".
We all know the HK45 will be manufactured here, so I thought this was interesting.

I'd love to see some US made 416's!

I can't help feel I'm glad I have my HK45 as I'm concern the quality will go down especially at first. Maybe I need to get my HK45 Compact soon.

That's why I bought early. I want to own one of the few German made HK45/c.

It will be interesting to see how things play out. I wonder if ALL of the HK45 Tacticals will be made here in the USA? I hope they make a few in Germany like they did with the regular HK45's.

I would think quality assurance would be extra tight at the new facility just to make sure that the name brand doesnt suffer any. but that is just my take on it of course

Luckly I understand it will just be a change of the trigger itself for us to have a Match Trigger which is what I'm interested in. I just don't see myself needing a threaded barrel.
I thought that the new HK45 came factory with a Match Trigger. I have heard that it is the same as Match Trigger for a USP?

That was my understanding as well. That also leads to my understanding that the HK45 Tac. will only have a threaded barrel and high profile sites for use with a can.
Has anyone seen any of the other varients out yet? Only thing I have seen is the V1?

I don't think quality will suffer at all. Wilcox is VERY good at what they do.

It is also my understanding that the only difference between the HK45 and the HK45 Tac will be the threaded barrel, and the raised adjustable sight. I think the HK45 already has the match trigger. Maybe the price difference between the two won't be that much. Who knows.

The HK45 does. It uses all the Match Trigger parts except for the over-travel stop.

I didn't explain myself as well as I would of liked in my prior post. I said "change of the trigger itself" and should of stated what Mark said. My Bad.
i dont even know how to get a catalog :) but that is very cool

If the pistol was being manufactured in China or Mexico I would be concerned about the quality. American workmanship will probably be on par with Germanys.

The US manufactured pistols will meet the same QC standards as the German made ones.
