Duty Holster update for HK45

I just wanted to update the holster situation for those in the LE community looking to carry the HK45 on duty.

My department requires a black basketweave holster for my duty rig and I current have a Surefire X300 attached.

I purchased the Safariland model 6285-38321-81 (this is a holster for a Glock 21 with an M3 light.) The holster was a perfert fit for the gun, but I had to made a small modification to the light cover cap to fit the X300. (I test fitted the X200 A&B and a TLR-1 and all fit without the mod to the cap.)

I simply popped out the plastic cap, sanded down the lip, and reinserted it to allow more end-room. I then used an epoxy sealant to hold it in place.

Where did you run out of room? Do you think it would fit without the modification if the HK45 was an LEM model?
