What's the P3000? Do you mean the P30? If yes, it's a fantastic gun and has superior ergonomics to any pistol on the market today, bar none.

Both are great.

Here is a little visual aid.

I know FN sports in Canada was stocking the P3000 and if I look in this catalogue it appears identical to the P30, it could just be a name change?

Welcome to the Forum. Buy the P30. You are going to love the way she shoots.

The P2000 is a great gun but the P30 is much better. The grip alone is amazing and the best on any handgun. I also find the trigger to be slightly better then on the P2000. The higher capacity mags are nice to have as well. There is only about a $50 price difference between the two and the P30 is well worth it. Unfortunetly for you the P30 is not approved for CA sale so you may be stuck with getting the P2000 (which is not a bad thing :p)

THank you all for your input I was at the gun store yesterday and saw a nib p2000 I held it and it really fit my hand nicely. I think i might be pushing toward the 2000 especially cause one of you pointed out i cant purchase a p30/3000 here so looks like the 2000 it is

wasn't P3000 the name they gave the prototype, which eventually became the P30?

p30 has the standard rail, p2000 has the HK style, P30 has the side grip changable, p2000 only the back strap. And p30 has the standard recharge night sight, I think that's all the differences.

It depends on caliber if your lookihg for a 9mm it's a no brainer P30.
