Has the Mk23 been discontinued?

I'm new to the Hk world having just picked up a Hk45 and Hk45c within the last week or so. Shooting my dad's UPS 45 convienced me to give Hk's a look. I was kinda thinking I would like a Mk23 in the future and was wondering if the pistol will be avaliable for a bit longer.

You'll find that the Mark 23 gets "discontinued" about every 6 months and dealers will swear on their mothers that they have the last ones off the boat and the boat has sunk and there are no more boats and there will never be another boat from Germany with MK23s in it.

Then 6 months later another boat shows up.

Thanks for the reply. My friend who is much more proactive than I am called Hk a few minutes ago. My friend was told that there has been no official word from Germany about the Mk23 being discountinued and shipments were still being received. He did mention that he felt like it would not be much longer before the Mk 23 went away. Also, he told my buddy that there were just another 2000 or so Hk45s being sent over before production switched to North America.

They are releasing 500 per year. Same for the P7M8.

Hey don't worry about it. No such thing as a stupid question right? If you search the term "discontinued" you'll see why people are so fed up about the discontinued rumors. This week it's the MK23, next week it'll be the Expert/Elite, week after that it'll be the USP line.

Is this factual information that can be verified?

I really would like to have another P7M8.
(I DO NOT buy over the internet)

My HK dealer in Dallas, Tx (Bachmans Gun and Pawn)
says there will be no more P7M8s.

I do not know about the HKP7M8, but it appears that the HK Mark 23 has seen a release of about 250-300 per year for past few years. :43:

Umm, unless you mean the quality of the guy that presses the button on the CNC machine, or the guy that presses the button on the injection molding machine, theres really not much you can screw up, except on the finish ;)
