Did I hear that right on that video? That HK P7's have a lifetime warranty. If so, what does that cover? Does that include if you are not the original owner? Anyone have any experience with that? Just curious.

What type of product warranty does HK offer?
All HK firearms sold in the USA are covered by a Limited Lifetime Warranty for the original owner. Law Enforcement products are covered by a Three Year Limited Warranty. For specific warranty information, please contact HK at 205-655-8299.

Heckler & Koch, Inc. Lifetime Limited Warranty

Heckler & Koch Firearms Purchased After January 1, 1998

A new Heckler & Koch firearm is warranted to the original retail purchaser only for the lifetime of the said original retail purchaser. This warranty applies only if the firearm was purchased from a Heckler & Koch Dealer.

What Will We Do - Heckler & Koch will, at its option, repair or replace without charge any Heckler & Koch firearm that fails due to a defect in materials or workmanship. Parts and labor are included. Repairs are warranted for the duration of the original warranty. If Heckler & Koch replaces a firearm under this warranty, you will receive a new lifetime limited warranty. Heckler & Koch will return replacement firearms to you freight prepaid.

How to Obtain Service - Call Heckler & Koch, Inc.'s Customer Service Department at (205) 655-8299 from 9:00 am till 4:00 pm EST, Monday through Friday. Describe your problem(s) to the Customer Service Department personnel, who will determine if your firearm is eligible for warranty repair. If so, you will be issued a Return Authorization Number. Guns are not accepted for repair without a Return Authorization Number. If a warranty registration is not on file for your firearm, you must provide Heckler & Koch satisfactory proof of date of original purchase. Only a sales receipt or properly completed warranty registration card for a new Heckler & Koch firearm will establish eligibility for warranty repairs when a product is returned. Pack your firearm for shipment to the Heckler & Koch repair facility (address listed below) in the following manner: First, ensure that the firearm is completely unloaded by visually and physically checking the chambers and the magazine. It is both dangerous and illegal to ship a loaded firearm through the mail. You should call Heckler & Koch for assistance if the gun cannot be completely unloaded for any reason prior to shipping. DO NOT PACK OR SHIP LOADED FIREARMS - SEND NO AMMUNITION. Place your firearm in the original box to prevent damage in shipment. If you do not have the original box, ship the assembled gun in a hard gun case. Please include a letter containing the Return Authorization Number you've been given and a description of your problem. Also, ensure that the return authorization number (RA#) is written on the OUTSIDE of the package and please retain this number for future reference when contacting Heckler & Koch's Customer Service Department. Be sure to include your name, address, and daytime phone number. Insure the package for the replacement value of the gun and ship the package, freight prepaid, to Heckler & Koch at the address listed below. Handguns must be shipped next day air delivery. No C.O.D. shipments will be accepted. Only the Heckler & Koch repair service facility in Alabama is authorized to make warranty repairs.

Note: Non-warranty servicing must follow the same shipping procedures as stated above.
